I have a problem with substance abuse and ask my brother Freepers if together we might form a union like AA.
Most of us are Christians and Jews...not of that crowd which honors an amorphous higher authority.
But even those who are honoring said higher authority should be welcome I guess.
I have been abstaining but would love support of my brothers and sister in this war.

I very politely disagreed with the idea of a seperate section on Freep for AA -alcohol discussions. Vanities are always allowed, no problem with that. I also suggested that there are many 12 step online options.

Why don’t you take your anger and sarcasm somewhere else. A difference of opinion-—especially when asked for—responded to in a civilized way is no reason for you to come back nasty. Get a grip...Not all of YOUR opinions are sacrosanct.

We do know that he did not mean that he was merely posting a vanity thread for the night, or another personal ping list, or random discussions of recovery popping up.

I would like to start a support group for people who enjoy booze and would like to enjoy a tobacco product indoors, wherever booze is served, but can’t do so without breaking laws.
You don’t even disagree with me, yet you want to keep posting white hot anger and attacks at me, just personal attacks, that have nothing to do with the actual topic.
Strange stuff. if you disagree with the proposal, perhaps you should focus on that, and post on that.

Seriously, try to get on the topic and drop this personal stuff.
You have taken a position against the proposal as I have, and then dedicated yourself to personal attacks against me, and you admit that you are bringing some personal grudge with you to this thread, like a stalker, although I have no idea who you are.
All of that behavior is against FR guidelines, if there is some past issue that you want to discuss on a different thread, then go back to that thread and post on it.

I have ordered some naltrexone and will start the Sinclair Method as soon as it arrives.
In the meantime, I am sober as a judge and frankly the Super Bowl is dull when viewed sober. But I sure do prefer being sober.;-)
As I said up thread, there was once a Recovery ping list. I was thinking that was what you were talking about when you mentioned "union" - as as opposed to a separate forum.
May I suggest you go back over the thread and FReepmail those who identified to ask them if they want on a ping list? I'm in.
