Cruz — who surged to national prominence with his fight to repeal the Affordable Care Act — roused
the nearly 1,000 people during the dinner at the Hyatt Regency DFW with calls for a grassroots effort
to put the country back on a path of prosperity.

“There will be another president, and that president may even be of another political party,” he told the crowd.

“Ted Cruz,” came a shout from the audience, to loud

I understand office holders holding off on endorsements when there is a crowed field of candidates, but, I don’t suppose there is any way that Ted would endorse the person who will be Cornyn’s Primary run-off opponent; is there? That would assure us that Cornhole would be sent home packing his Liberal rags with him. That probably won’t happen, but I sure enjoy the thought.

Not if he holds to what is attributed to him in this article.

snip
...Cruz has declined to endorse Cornyn, citing his policy of staying neutral
in primaries featuring GOP incumbents. ..

Cruz will not go into the political establishment gutter as Cornyn did as the head of the NRSC in it’s endorsement of Crist over Rubio. Ted has far more class and I think that would sully him for future considerations as he tries to bring our Republic back to a moral standing in the world. That does not go to say that he specifically does not speak well of him, and furthermore, he says nothing at all about him. Silence is golden for Cruz.

Lots of Cruz birthers around FR got the zot. You might want to be careful.

Cruz was born to an American mother, and is an American.

He can and should run for President.

Where Cruz was born is not the issue. Where both parents were born will become the issue.

Which is rather scary come to think about it.

In addition to those who are born in the United States or born outside the country to parents who were both citizens — or, interestingly, found in the United States without parents and no proof of birth elsewhere — citizenship goes to babies born to one American parent who has spent a certain number of years here.

That single-parent requirement has been amended several times, but under the law in effect between 1952 and 1986 — Cruz was born in 1970 — someone must have a citizen parent who resided in the United States for at least 10 years, including five after the age of 14, in order to be considered a natural-born citizen.

I love Cruz but I keep waiting for the moment when he reveals himself as Not One Of Us.

So far, he does not seem that clueless, but then so did Rubio.

___

That part of the Constitution which would have rendered Cruz ineligible to be President has been made de facto irrelevant.

No I’m looking to get zotted I’m just curious because you know without question the Marxists are going to scream bloody hell about it. Cruz admits he was born in Canada while B. Hussein hid his birth place
