The star was fully clothed when found. I wonder why the Post thought it necessary to point this out? If he were naked, would he be any less dead?

Wasn’t he in the latest Mission Impossible? Think he was also in Twister.

I saw him on Broadway 14 years ago with John C. Reilly in "True West."

He was a very good actor. One of America’s best. Versatile to say the least.
Really a shame.

Wonder if nObama will compare Hoffmann to his mythical If I had a son...? Only if he had a MYTHICAL WHITE SON.
To: GrandJediMasterYoda
His ‘hoax death’ was from sometime in January. These current reports are from the last few hours.

Dark movie but I think he did a good job in “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead”.

Great scene. I liked PSH. He was a good actor. I feel bad for his family.

He played the villain in
Mission Impossible III. He was creepy - brilliant acting.
It's a pity he's gone, he could have been the next Jack Nicholson.

I keep hoping this really IS a hoax. Certainly one of our best and most under rated actors.

I was friends with an actor when I lived in New York city who told me think of any well known actor in Hollywood - most of them are hardcore drugs users. I didn’t believe him until in the late 90s all these A list actors started going to this biker bar down by the Meat market. I’m not going to name names so I don’t get sued, but just think of any A list actor and they were there, and this place was an utter sh*thole and people were like what the hell is so great about his bar? Then it was found out the owner was dealing coke and ended up dead from an OD and surprise surprise all the A listers stopped going. And these are the people who dictate politics to us. I suspect that’s also the reason why they visit all the dictators to heap praise - They get drugs in return.
