In 2013, Arizona was named America's  #1 State for Gun Owners, by Guns and Ammo Magazine.

This week, Arizona legislators aimed to improve on that status, advancing nullification of federal gun laws and stopping  state enforcement of them. Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward, along with eight co-sponsors, introduced the Second Amendment Preservation Act in the Grand Canyon State.

According to the bill, SB1294, all federal regulations which violate the Second Amendment would be recognized as "invalid and void in this state" (that would be any federal gun law).

Sweet. What most people don’t recognize is that police at the state and local level do most of the work when enforcing gun laws. This takes them out of the picture.

I love my state! Did a lot to get Kelli Ward elected in 2012, and damn she is amazingly active in not just preserving, but EXTENDING our rights. And she is also a BIG proponent of Mark Levin’s state convention process (was on his show last week). She is also an eye surgeon to boot, and a top one at that!

Obama did one good thing for Arizona. He removed Janet Napolitano from Phoenix, resulting in Jan Brewer becoming Governor.

The feds won’t let Arizona enforce their immigration laws. So they have no business complaining if Arizona won’t enforce other federal laws.

How will the Superbowl stop Al Qaeda in Arizona if gun control is not enacted?

Open borders and gun control will help.

I was told on another thread that Mark Levin is against nullification laws.

Does he support Arizona in this nullification effort?

“I wonder if Brewer will sign it?”

Yeah, Brewer is a big improvement over Nappy, but she’s not been as good a governor as Arizona deserves and needs. Now Arpaio would be outstanding!

The first read of the Bill in the Senate was today, it has not had a first read in the House yet, it has to pass both houses before it goes to the Governor.
