There has been numerous articles on the possible Republican takeover of the Senate by concentrating Republican effort and resources on the six Democrat Senators that are up for reelection in Red States that Romney won in the 2012 election. This is all well and good but it would be a giant mistake to ignore the Blue State senatorial races. After all, there are NINETEEN Democrat senators up for reelection this year. There is no reason to believe these Democrats are any less vulnerable then their Red State cronies. This year is not a "normal" election. The Blue State voters who have had their Health Care destroyed by Obamacare, are going to be just as outraged by this abomination known as Obamacare. They may even have stronger feeling than us. Their Boy Wonder President has just double crossed them all and badly hurt them financially. This 2014 election is most critical for America. Our goal should be 100% effort to defeat ALL Democrat Senators Red State and Blue State. There are many relatively weak Senators up for reelction. in these Blue States. People like Al Franken, Minn., Jean Shaneen, New Hampshire, Alan Coons, Delaware. In addition Jay Rockefeller, W. Virginia is retiring {he sees the writing on the wall.} The Democrats have savaged the economy of West Virginia, with any effort at all this should be a Republican victory. The same goes for Michigan, Carl Levin is also "retiring". We have to go all out to put an end to Obama's destruction of America by taking away the Senate. Imagine senate leadership without the stomach churning presence of Harry Reed.
Also, never underestimate the treachery of the Democratic Party.
If the Gelded OLD Pansies mismanage to take over the Senate, they will power share it with their good ‘Rat friends across the aisle.
There may be enough patriots and former Obama supporters to do the following in 2014 elections. If patriots can elect 2/3 conservative majority in each House of Congress then Congress will have the power to do the following.
Congress will have the power, under the Constitution's Clause 2 of Section 7 of Article I, to override presidential vetoes. I other words, Congress will be able to repeal Obamacare without Obama's signature.
So if people care more about their health than amnesty, they might exercise their voting muscle to elect a conservative supermajority to Congress.
From your lip’s to God’s ear’s.
Passing immigration will lead to many Republicans reregistering as independent and many others just not voting at all in the elections.
I know I have nothing to show for 30 years of voting GOP.
The GOP stands for capitulation to the 25% of Americans who are the hard left.
Going after the Tea Party who gave them their only hope in 2010, is puzzling.
Also puzzling is why we have no Republican push to buy up one of the CNN, MSNBC or other networks and fire the staff and weaken the left’s hold on pushing their propaganda over the airwaves. I thought Republicans are the party of the Rich, but they spent a billion dollars on these leftest networks on campaign ads making the propaganda networks rich
The idiots pushing amnesty are pissing on this opportunity.
Vote out the RINOs this 2014!
Oops. Forgot the /sarc tag, in case you need it.
I like the Dump the Rino movement, plus a punish Dems for passing Obamacare.
GOP should go after all the blue state dems who only won their last election by 10% or less. Obamacare makes them very vulnerable to voter retribution.
Thanks for your post. While I agree with some of the negative points expressed by the vast majority on this topic, It is very puzzling why they are willing to jeopardize probably our last chance to save the Union. The boys in the White House bathroom, monitoring Free Republic, must be enjoying
themselves reading all of this.
You’ve got that right. In fact, some of them maybe posting here on this thread.
A GOP takeover of the Senate would make Obama a lame duck for the last two years.
As for amnesty in the House, it is going anywhere, even Ryan admitted that.
Ignore all the malcontents who seem to be rooting for Reid to keep control, they are useless whiners.
Yep
Dems know they are in deep doo doo...in 2014..
They will target the races where they can steal enough votes to retain a one seat majority....and with Joe Biden as VP. He is pro tem of the senate so he will cast many deciding votes...
You make a very valid point. I say: “Amen”.
Ref. you Post #4: Do you have an argument for doubting that the Republicans will take over the Senate this November? A little intellectual dialogue would be good if you have the mental equipment to engage in such.
Rove and the RNC will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory once again.

I get so tired of hearing that tired, old, worn-out line. We are not depending on Rove and the RNC to do what needs to be done. Their funds are down from 2012, the year they wasted a gazillion dollars with nothing to show for it. To hell with them. We just have to do what we have to do to get the job done.
Setting aside for a moment the fact that you provided no compelling argument explaining WHY the republicans will take over the senate in 2014, I offer the following as an example of why they won’t (there have been many more similar occurrences in states across the nation).
Since he became ensconced in the senate, the republicans have been incapable of even coming close to unseating Mark Warner from Virginia, a man who is quite possibly one of the lamest and most ineffectual politicians in the history of the Commonwealth. And, for 2014, it appears they are going to go the losing route once again by nominating a ‘democrat-lite’ republican to run against Mr. Warner.
Furthermore, a couple of years ago they could not stop the democrats from electing Tim ‘I worship at Obama’s feet’ Kaine to Virginia’s second senate seat. If the republican party were still a viable entity, they would be able to field candidates and run campaigns that would absolutely destroy each of these completely useless individuals. Keep in mind, Virginia has historically had a strong and effective republican party. For them to end up where they are is no small indication of the party’s decline; and Virginia is not the only state with a weakening republican party.
Over the last 8 to 10 years, on both a state and national level, the republicans have regressed to the point where they are, for the most part, incapable of running an effective political campaign. They have also become incapable of choosing electable candidates to their “tickets”. The ‘powers that be’ in the republican party think that conservatives ‘owe it to the party’ to follow them wherever they go, regardless of how far down the road to nanny-statism and liberalism that may be. And, they think they are ‘owed’ this simply because the democrats are the only other game in town.
“We’re not quite as corrupt and socialist as the democrats” is not a particularly inspiring message.
PS - Now, do you have an argument for why you think the republicans will take over the senate this November - apart from anger over obamacare, which the republicans are most likely too inept to effectively exploit without having it back-fire on them. That is, “if you have the mental equipment to engage in such” -— you arrogant, condescending twit.
