More than 20 lawmakers or their aides gathered yesterday at Black Wing to learn a similar lesson and hear from an expert on how silencers, or suppressors, can affect the noise levels of hunting rifles. The event was organized by the Buckeye Firearms Association in an effort to gain support for House Bill 234, which would allow hunting with a suppressor. . . . . .
Supporters of the bill argue that allowing use of a suppressor would help protect hunters from hearing damage; make it easier for hunters, particularly children, to hear commands from others; and make hunting less of a nuisance for those living nearby.

I have one too. They are pleasant to shoot but relatively expensive.
Those were editorial calls. They deliberately screw up gun facts across all the publishing houses. Its an open conspiracy, and they don't care who knows it. If pushed, they'll claim they're "protecting" people by making it harder for criminals to use guns. But it's obvious that the real reason is political.
One of my associates just took a case to defend a guy who had a silencer.
Probably a good move not to use subsonic ammo.

Even some of the Cor-Bon +P runs at 1075 FPS. You still hear boom but no supersonic crack .
I know of such a case actually. It’s definitely time for our movement to take control of some sheriff’s offices. We have the numbers, all we need are some motivated individuals. Requirements to run for sheriff vary by state. In states, where the requirements are only that you get more votes than your opponent, the path is clear. In states that require formal peace officer training or other requirements that lock our movement out, we need to petition our legislators to revise the codes that stand in our way and get our people in and then we need to nullify some laws.
True. A .45 is almost always a subsonic bullet. It does however have a large and loud powder propellant. The suppressor will quash the sound somewhat but not completely.

In the movie “Heat”, Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino are having a running gun fight in the middle of an airfield. The sound engineers miked in the sound of brass hitting the tarmac while they were running across a grassy area.
Yeah, that’s exactly the kind of “stupid gun stuff” I am talking about in movies.

How many homicides have been committed with suppressed firearms?
One of the guys here at work claims that they were used all the time. I’m looking at the UCS, and can’t find it.
I’ve started the process for getting a suppressor last Thursday.

Oh, I agree. But it would be nice to have the numbers and link to prove it. I already found the number of homicides with a legal machine gun (2) since 1934. I just can’t find the same data for suppressors.
