Note to GOP Establishment: You have worn out your welcome. Just go away. Let Real Patriotic Americans step up and SAVE OUR NATION!! Just take your ill-gotten gains and go play some golf with Obama.
That's great advice; unfortunately, I don't think our little Republican primary voters will do that much to thwart the GOP establishment. Already TX is pre-committed to Cornball and George P. Bush.
I met Pete Domenici right after he announced his retirement.
When I first heard Pete Domenici announce his retirement, I thought this is really bad and why is he doing this. Then I actually met him and while his mind was clear, his speech was unsteady and he had trouble walking and I understood.
We lost that seat and are likely not getting it back anytime soon.
I met Ted Stevens shortly before his election loss and he too was unsteady and I thought “why is this guy not retiring?”.
Last month, I met Cochran for the first time. I will say that unlike Stevens and Domenici, he is not ready to retire. He is physically fit, on top of the issues especially agriculture and speaks well and walks easily.
He seems like a good senator to me.
..........wonder if with the help of all Freepers a List of “establishment” republicans could be made???
