In a statement on the Senate floor this morning, Republican leader Mitch McConnell signaled he'd vote for cloture for the immigration bill. But he also suggested the bill needs to be amended.
"The Gang of Eight has done its work. Now it’s time for the Gang of 100 to do its work — for the entire Senate to have its say on this issue, and see if we can do something to improve the status quo. At the risk of stating the obvious, this bill has serious flaws," McConnell said, then suggesting he'd vote for cloture, the motion to proceed.

Yup! This is the kind of stuff we need to be reminded about!! Hope yes, but vote no is how these people pretend to be conservatives but help to advance liberalism.

McConnell is a duplicitous weasel. A vote for closure IS A VOTE FOR AMNESTY (because it ENABLES the passage of amnesty) even for those who later vote against the actual bill for political cover. I wish the “scoring” organizations would mark a vote for closure as a mark FOR amnesty—that would help restore a modicum of truth in these “ratings”. As it is, I think a number of these organizations are engaged in creating “cover” for RINOs by allowing them to have a higher conservative rating than they deserve.
Then the “RINO Protective” posters come on here and quote the RINOs’ untruthful “conservative” ratings as proof that they are conservative.
Ya think the Prez might intentionally be trying to bankrupt the U.S. beyond repair. I do.
Yea, right Mitch. You admit is has “serious” flaws, and yet you will allow it to come up for a vote?

Yep....the old “show vote” tactic. Vote for cloture thereby cutting off a chance to kill a treasonous bill before it gets to the floor....and then vote against it in the floor vote knowing the gesture is moot.
My two traitor Senators here in Georgia are experts at that. They come home afterwards and trumpet “I voted against it!”
