He [Snowden] states that his “breaking point” was “seeing Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, directly lie under oath to Congress” denying the existence of a domestic spying programs while under questioning in March of last year. Mr. Snowden goes on to state that, “The public had a right to know about these programs. The public had a right to know that which the government is doing in its name, and that which the government is doing against the public.”

Here's the thing the Obama Administration dreads: Snowden will reveal that the domestic spying program was used since 2009 against the political opponents of the President--including phone records (landline and cellphone), Internet access, bank accounts and even IRS data. That would be a gigantic violation of innumerable Federal felony laws.

It’s a sorry state of affairs when someone like Snowden can be considered a hero.

I always liked the phrase, When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. The meaning is much deeper than it appears on the surface. Who is an outlaw?

Why did he vote the way he did? I remember Obama threatening the SC before the vote on Obamacare as if he knew what Roberts was going to do. Were they spying on him? Did they have some blackmail materials on him through NSA?

Whatever you think of Snowden, the kid has guts. I’m not sure that someday he might not be considered a hero for doing this even though he has damaged national security. A government that denies the truth to its own people isn’t a government anyone should trust, even if it’s the American government.

Totally agree. The US government is rotting with liars, thieves and murderers. Not to mention that I think the shoe is about to drop and the markets are now collapsing with at least a 50-60% collapse down to a 7000 DOW.

They, the news people, like to show how acts and words by Snowden betray the ‘American’ spirit. They do not want to touch that the chief justice was caught carrying a briefcase into the bank of the Vatican on Malta during the time questions were being raised about his adopted Irish children.
