The first lady says completing the form is an important first step for students who want to finish their education.

We paid plus student loans...you want it ...then EARN IT...

There is no default on student loan debt anymore, it lasts forever.
While entering debt-slavery to the Federal government to pay for one’s education is a very bad idea, the fact is she’s right: most institutions of higher education have streamlined their data collection in giving out scholarship, fellowships, assistantships, grants and the like that have any specification of financial need in the eligiblity requirements to use the FAFSA as the means of collecting the data.
Unless a student has been offered an athletic scholarship or a scholarship based solely on the basis of academic attainment or some peculiar non-need based criterion (there are strange scholarships that turn on being from a particular county, the descendant of a particular person, attending a particular church,...) not completing a FAFSA means you’ll pay rack-rate wherever you’re going to school.
He won’t be president when these student’s loans come due...............(I HOPE)................
