WHITE PLAINS, NY Even if Kerry Kennedy accidentally drugged herself with a sleeping pill before getting in her car, she broke the law if she kept driving after feeling the drugs effects, prosecutors say.
In filings Tuesday, the Westchester County district attorneys office asked a judge to reject Kennedys second attempt to have her drugged-driving case dismissed. Prosecutors said a dismissal would send the wrong message to the public about how people of wealth and power are treated.
Kennedy is the ex-wife of Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the daughter of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and the niece of the late President John F. Kennedy.

if they let that miserable wretch walk, they are setting precedent and others can ask for the same treatment under similar circumstances...

Sorry to be on the other side on this, but
Justice is supposed to be BLIND. That means, wealth or poverty shouldn’t alter the outcome—but neither should the need to placate “public perception”.
That’s about as poor an excuse for a prosecution as I’ve ever heard—”the public wants one”. If prosecutors start taking public opinion polls or listening to the mob (or social media) or anything else,
then all those who are unpopular or non-PC are going to get prosecuted, whether they are guilty or not.
And that’s only a short step away from convictions
made in order to placate public opinion...

CondorFlight do you have a comprehension problem. Neither I or Arm_Bears are on any side of this, “who cares”, story. Arm suggested calling Kennedy's white trash was not fair to white trash. I proclaimed I was white trash and agreed. It's call sarcasm. Study it so you can better identify it when you see it

Boy! Being married to that creep would have given her enough reason to begin drinking or taking drugs...He is so ugly and dorky! Kennedys aren’t known for their smarts so perhaps she was an exception to that by divorcing him.
