House Speaker John Boehner is defending new Republican immigration principles from critics on the right who complain it rewards illegal immigration and plays into President Obama’s hands.
On Tuesday, Boehner’s office released a Q&A explaining why the speaker had decided to pursue immigration reform and how it would address major concerns within his party.
“The focus of this Congress should be on creating jobs and growing our economy,” the document reads. “Reforms to our immigration system will accomplish those goals and address a serious national security issue.”
The immigration principles, released at the House GOP’s retreat in Maryland last week, call for a revamped legal immigration system for both high skilled and temporary workers, new border security and enforcement measures, and – most controversially – a program to legalize qualifying undocumented immigrants.
The most common issue House Republicans have raised with passing reform this year is that they fear Obama will bank the legalization part and then unilaterally refuse to enforce the security measures attached to it.

That’s the same thing Bush and McCain said in 2007 and Rubio said last year.
They never are amnesty because they pay that ‘fine’ , of course they get>> 100times that fine back in handouts, but that doesnt count.

If you don’t send these people to jail for income tax evasion, identity theft, welfare fraud, obtaining false documents and all the other crimes that go with being an illegal alien, then it is AMNESTY!

Beyond pathetic. Anything that waives the penalties for a large number of people who've broken the law is an amnesty. These low life politicians never tire of insulting the base with that long running lie and misrepresentation concering the meaning of amnesty.
It’s about time for “W” to pop up again and insult the base once more concerning this issue, the only issue that motivates him to comment despite the widespread ineptness and failures of the Obama gang.

Authorize lethal force against anyone breaching the US Southern border, just a Mexico does on their Southern border (except the Mexicans accept bribes and rape the women, as well, and let them go.)
