No, Jay Carney. 'Freedom' is not just a 'Certain Buzzword'
Best Of Cain ^ | February 5, 2014 | Robert Laurie

Posted on 02/05/2014 7:07:06 PM PST by Kaslin

Jay Carney reveals himself, and it's utterly pathetic.

Freedom is the natural state of mankind.

Freedom is that to which all enslaved peoples aspire.

Freedom is the driving force behind the founding of our nation, and remains its highest ideal.

Freedom is a concept for which generations of Americans have fought and died.

Unless, of course, you're Jay Carney.  If you're the spokesman for the most underwhelming administration in U.S. history, freedom is a "certain buzzword" which you laughingly use as a one-liner in support of your failed policies.

During a disastrous press conference Tuesday, Carney was defending ObamaCare from claims that it was lessening work hours.  Carney was making the argument that Americans would be "empowered" to work less, since the President's signature law lowers the number of hours a person must work in order to receive coverage.  According to Carney, the law isn't killing jobs; it's allowing Americans the freedom to opt out of working.

It’s not anything but an added choice that they have that allows them more freedom, to use a certain buzzword.  More choice.

We'll set aside the tortured "less is more" logic and simply remind our smarmy press secretary that, no. Freedom is not just a "buzzword."  It's the beating heart of a nation that has unfortunately chosen to damage itself by allowing Jay Carney to remain on its payroll.

That he would reduce such a concept to nothing more meaningful than a catchphrase or a marketing gimmick?

Pathetic.

Jay Carney calls 'Freedom' a 'Buzzword'

The willingness of people to attack the only thing that keeps them safe continues to astonish me.

It really is suicidal.

I was already an adult during the Jimmy Carter presidency - it was pathetic! Driving around today, it occurred to me that Carter is looking pretty decent compared to the POS currently in the White Hut.

By the end of Carter’s presidency, unemployment, interest rates etc. were at record highs. I fully expect OHamster to surpass Carter’s stats by the time he is thrown in the gutter.

Throw his posterior into a gulag and see how the lack of freedom feels.

What a curse these people are.

Dingy Harry said the same thing, Pelosi said it about unemployment compensation years ago. Thanks Kaslin.

Wow, well written.

God help us is right.

Because what is being deliberately targeted here is the sheer momentum of those four billion people’s culture. History has shown repeatedly that the arrogance of the Left is matched only by their violence, and if they can’t have physical violence, they settle for cultural violence - and then legal violence, and then physical violence.

What has struck me the hardest about the whole “gay rights” issue is that when it is looked at plainly, it really is not about “rights” at all. Because gays can and do live outwardly in society, work in society as open homosexuals, live with each other and conduct their lives with each other.

Rather, it seems tht gays are being used to front a far more insidious and dangerous concept - that full emotional, mental and psychic support, affection, agreement and loyalty must be required from everyone over any subject the ruling powers demand it from. This is a frightening level of tyranny, where law is thrown out for loyalty, where people are pitted against each other for their relative levels of sycophantism, and where fear and blacklisting and disappearings become the norm.

It is a dystopian nightmare that only psychopaths could want, and gays, to me, are merely the useful idiots being manipulated into fronting it through the exploitation of their narcissism.

End times stuff for sure.

The sophistry employed is the use of the word "rights" and the equation of human rights to gay rights.

I believe that I gave a proper analysis as to antithetical nature of the two terms.

The terms "human rights" and "marriage equality" are simply a guise.

I'm not for certain, but I would assume that what gays want is not specifically rights but "acceptance" by way of society's imprimatur as some sort of path to absolution.

Thanks for your kind compliments and I will be writing more often. Please be kind enough to spread the link.

I do also post on FR ... just was laying low after what I went through

Welcome to the party of slavery crying about black slaves.

Unbelievable what stupid people vote for, simply because they vote in the breed like racists.

Sadly 50% of catholics also voted for abortion
95% of blacks for slavery
70% of Jews for blak Nazism much worse and hypocritical

The wonders of Cash for Clunkers fascism bait favoring govevernment, let the tax payer buy me my junk back for tripple the price while I jack car price for him up through sheer demand.

Not all contracts are equalnindeed, and they modified the word marriage when it clearly was a man woman child contract. This is like calling Jesus Allah and saying He wrote the Koran for equakity’s sake.

Now words are meaningless because married does not mean the same thing to different people.

As for human right, again, what do they mean by human. It can mean so many different things, justnlike Mao defined Enemy of the People anyone criticizing him directly or indirectly.

Human right is basically Obama’s right to have what he wants in his Santa Clause bucket wish list.
