Jose Luis Sanchez-Ronquillo, who entered the country without legal permission, has been an Ann Arbor resident for more than 15 years. The father of two American-born children is scheduled to take an unwanted flight to Mexico Monday.
The Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement unit plans to deport Sanchez-Ronquillo Feb. 10. Sanchez-Ronquillo's family said the ICE unit was alerted to his presence in the community after he was taken into police custody following a verbal argument in public in May 2009.

Hes an example of a man whos been here minding his own business, working very hard, supporting his family, with no criminal history,-but Saunders, has been working at the same restaurant in Ann Arbor for at least the past 10 years. She declined to name the restaurant where he works due to his status as an unauthorized immigrant and potential repercussions for both him and his employer..In other words no criminal history because he has not been caught and not wanting to name the restaurant where he works ,suggests he indeed is a criminal

Ann Arbor was home for a few short years back in the 1960’s.
I dont doubt that its still a hotbed of crocodile tear bearing hand wringers.
Illegal is illegal is illegal.

Hes an example of a man whos been here minding his own business, working very hard, supporting his family, with no criminal history, WICIR founder Laura Sanders said. We find it very disruptive that they would be deporting him at this point. ,The instant his foot came into contact with American soil, he was a lawbreaker. There is not on nanosecond of time that this man has been in this country where he was NOT violating the law. Deport, and deport post haste. His whole history here IS criminal history.

So, if someone breaks into your home while you’re away on vacation and remain there until you return, that makes him a resident?
Good idea!

This guy is being deported not because he doesn't mind his own business, not working very hard, not supporting his family. Why can't you get it? You must come up with better reasons or arguments. You think you are helping immigrants, but you are not. You are actually hurting millions of legal immigrants. Please support immigration by NOT supporting illegal immigration.

Lived just off campus for 4 years in the middle of the 80’s. Couldn’t have told you the definition of a liberal or conservative if you had a gun to my head back then, but I sure had the concepts figured out real quick after seeing it first hand.
Great times though, very fun town to spend your informative years growing up in.

He could have been a legal immigrant and had no problem. He chose poorly.

The owner of Zingermanns is as lefty as they come, but I will say he can serve up a mean sandwich. I guess he can afford to pay his workers so much because of what he charges though, if it wasn’t a college town trendy hangout but opened in small town America he couldn’t keep his doors open for long and pay such high wages.

I think there’s a nuclear plant near Ann Arbor.
It seems like maybe there was a big radiation leak that affected the residents’ minds....

Surprised that Ann Arbor apparently has not yet declared itself a "sanctuary city" for illegal aliens. If that were the case, the local police could not have referred this alien in question to ICE for deportation proceedings, yet they did.
Notice that the they article refers to him as an "unauthorized immigrant." This is another example of how the language of public policy debate has been corrupted by the left and its MSM sycophants. The appropriate term is illegal alien.
