Desperate over the impact of Obamacare on voters, the Obama administration is leaking a plan to extend suspension of the requirement for insurance companies to drop "substandard" individual plans until safely after the 2016 elections. The president already unilaterally imposed a one year delay, but now is apparently considering a further delay to postpone the political consequences -- Americans losing the plans he promised they could keep -- until after he is out of office. Tom Murphy of AP reports:
The Obama administration is considering an extension of the president's decision to let people keep their individual insurance policies even if they are not compliant with the health care overhaul, industry and government officials said Thursday.
Avalere Health CEO Dan Mendelson said Thursday that the administration may let policyholders keep that coverage for as long as an additional three years, stressing that no decision has been made. Policymakers are waiting to see what rate hikes health insurers plan for the insurance exchanges that are key to the overhaul's coverage expansions.
"The administration is entertaining a range of options to ensure that this individual market has stability to it, and that would be one thing that they could do," he said.
This report is being confirmed by others:
Health and Human Services spokesman Joanne Peters confirmed that the issue is under discussion, saying: "We are continuing to examine all sorts of ways to provide consumers with more choices and to smooth the transition as we implement the law. No decisions have been made."

And, you’ll not find many sheeperals that would say he shouldn’t be making these ad hoc decisions. After all, he’s smart because... well, the sheeperals are smart, or want to think of themselves as smart, and they wouldn’t support someone who is dumb because they’re smart, right?
The truth is he can do whatever he wants without consequence because he has pigmentation immunity.
They see all the cancellation notices coming this fall from employers and know that will adversely effect Democrats in the Mid-Term elections. Putting it off for 3 years not only moves the bad news past the 2014 elections but also the 2016 elections. This is strictly a political decision and you can guarantee it will happen even if it is unconstitutional.

I'm sure somewhere in the thousands of pages of the law there will be some language that provides for administrative wiggle room.
That and the FACT that our GOP “leadership” has no integrity and/or balls.
My son just told me he had heard you have to prove insurance in order to file for a return, and if not insured, must enrol in lucifercare ...

We are witnessing the first of many major Public tests of the failed Keynesian Economic Theory, (KET).
The current test will will be very painful and moderately short IF the damn Congressional RINOs do not “rescue” KET, Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, Food Stamps, Unemployment Payments, and Quantitative Easing.

The Republicans seem to do anything in there power not to be seen as an opposition party. The constant beat down by the corporate media is always turned on them the minute they point out an issue with Obama and the Democrats. By twiddling their thumbs and avoiding fighting, the media types get bored and start to actually have to deal with the disaster of Obamacare. The same goes for the brain dead public that eats up anything the entertainment / media complex tells them.
This could be a case of not interfering with the process of watching Obamacare implode. That way the Democrats and Obama have full ownership in the public’s eye since the media can’t harp that the evil Republicans are the reason the master plan isn’t working.
Sounds like he might be getting an earful from Dems. Like it or not, he has to work down the road....likely on the circuit (though I think not). The party is going to provide any jobs for him in the future...he must bend...and he will...
The communists empire has totally corrupted and are in the control of the Federal Government. Forget Bonehead, he is one of them. When impeachment begins I might change my mind on Bonehead and McConnell.
