Fox News Channel says it has hired Democratic strategist James Carville as a contributor.
The channel said Thursday he will offer commentary during appearances on various Fox News Channel programs. Editor's Note: Add Up to $152,046 to Your Social Security Benefits Using Weird Trick
Carville was the lead strategist for Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign, which was documented in the film "The War Room." He served as a senior political adviser during Clinton's presidency.
Carville's TV work includes co-hosting the 2002-05 edition of "Crossfire" on CNN. He and his wife, Republican strategist Mary Matalin, were analysts at CNN until last year's management changeover at the channel.

One of the women at Fox News should come early to the set. She should get a $20 bill and hook it to some thread and put the bill on one side of the studio and stretch the thread to the other side. Then, get a few more ladies and have them wait by the bill. When Carville comes on, pull the $20 bill across the set and have all the ladies screaming and chasing after it. Let him explain that one.
What would the world look like today if George HW Bush hadn’t broken his promise not to raise taxes? Fools like Carville, Bill and Hillary would be little more than asterisks in political history books.
Are we as Conservatives so thin skinned we cannot tolerate a dissenting voice? Carville makes my blood pressure jump through the roof, but at least he will have some counterparts to dispute whatever vile is coming from his mouth. Can we same for the other networks?
I quit watching the news. Last episode 11/7/12
Only democrat on Faux I can stand is Kirsten Powers. Why she remains a democrat I’ll never know. She’s the only one that does not worship the human teleprompter.
Can’t wait till the Kraut gets hold of him!
Chew him up and spit him out!
When was the last time they hired a right wing host? Maybe Palin but it is in a minor role. carville will be a star on the new mslsd.
Well, yeah, but that’s only because you know what they say.
Maybe he’ll get voted off.
bob beckle, juan williams and a thousand female rats will be there to cheer him on.
Aw, man! He’s going to get slime all over everything.
Change is definitely in the wind.
News Corporation Chairman/CEO Rupert Murdoch is 82.
FNC President Roger Ailes is 73.
I agree. I want Fox conservative, but it need not become an intellectual ghetto. I seem to recall hearing that Santita Jackson, Jesse Jackson’s daughter was hired by Fox in April of 2012, for social commentary. I dont know if she’s still on Fox or not, but her once in a while presence has not radically changed that network. Just so long as Fox doesnt get too heavy with radical leftists, we can probably take it. Carville is an engaging speaker, even when I disagree with him. He keeps the viewer’s attention, which is what a producer wants on TV.
Kirsten Powers is OK and so is Bob Beckel. I know many freepers cannot stand Beckel.
Agreed. I am surprized that BHO has not moved faster with the FCC to demand equal time on conservative web-sites. The NSA/PRISM/Google connection is worrisome.
I think Williams voted for the human teleprompter because of the color of his skin. He was originally a Hillary Clinton supporter and had nothing good to say about the Kenyan. But just as fast as the Kenyan won the election, Williams was on Faux News saying he felt like crying when he realized a “black man” had been elected president. Made no difference that a few months before that he was saying that “black man” was incompetent and just a token. I also remember Hillary Clinton supporter Jesse Jackson saying he would like to squeeze the Kenyan’s gonads off. He couldn’t stand the upstart, but now of course kisses his ass till the cows come home.
Carville is a lightweight leftist pundit of the first order except for those in the TV network industry who are fascinated by his freakish persona.
He may have other capabilities, of course (and probably a nice guy and family man), but one of them is not being a coherent TV political analyst....at least of any weighty importance whatsoever.
Then why does he get all these TV gigs considering that he contributes no deep thinking or original thoughts of any earthly use to the viewer? After all, he merely spouts Democrat talking-points in a rapid-fire, barely-intelligible babble of Louisiana socialist swamp-bilge.
Let's face it, his face is his fortune. He owes a lot to it. He's on the tube because he's a cartoon-character, carnival barker, one of the more loquacious endmen in the long-running Democrat minstrel shows of life.
If he wasn't (according to his wife's words) a "serpent-head" with such a...well, such a riveting face, he'd be given the hook and yanked off any network show stage in a New Orleans minute.
It's the sideshow, Mr. Murdoch....and we all know that's why you hired him. You're putting him on like a bearded lady or a sword swallower.
If it was the economy, stupid, he wouldn't be on your payroll.

I also loved it when he wore the paper bag over his head.
I think Carville is funny. People here take him too seriously. Mary must see something in the guy.
New show about to debut on FOX - The Progressive 5
Beckel
Colmes
Williams
Carville
Powers or Mara Liasson or maybe Ailes can get Sandra Fluke.
Can’t wait to see its ratings.
Great show for bulemiacs everywhere.
