Replace the Speaker (Senate Conservatives Fund email)

Fellow Conservatives:

Republicans in the House of Representatives are preparing to support yet another increase in the national debt limit and they're not even trying to do anything to balance the budget or stop Obamacare.

Republicans are giving up because they know that winning is impossible when their leaders are determined to lose. These leaders have telegraphed weakness to the Democrats and sabotaged conservative efforts so many times that Republicans now have no leverage. There's only one solution.

John Boehner must be replaced as Speaker of the House.

Speaker John Boehner (R-OH)Conservatives helped Republicans win a majority in the House of Representatives, which made it possible for John Boehner to become Speaker. Unfortunately, he has chosen to ignore us and help President Obama enact his liberal agenda.

Instead of using Republican control of the House to stop bad legislation, Speaker Boehner has used it to increase spending, raise the debt limit, increase taxes, pass a bloated farm bill, and fund the implementation of Obamacare. Instead of fighting for conservative principles, Speaker Boehner has completely surrendered to the Democrats.

Unless we install a new leader who will actually go on offense, Democrats will never fear us and we will never have any leverage.

REPLACE THE SPEAKER

There are 232 Republicans in the House today and it requires 218 votes to be elected Speaker. If 15 Republicans refuse to vote for John Boehner at the beginning of the next Congress, he won't have the votes to be re-elected and Republicans will be forced to pick someone else for the job.

"Sign our petition urging House Republicans to "Replace the Speaker."

I always wonder about these kinds of petitions.

Is it that so much of DC is so insulated from real people that they need a few thousand sheets of paper to get them to pay attention to the people?

Do they ask a consensus when, while driving they see a red light, for direction as to what to do ?

I have to add ...

If a politician is "so busy" (anticipating THAT one ... ), WHAT is he busy doing ?

It CAN'T be to formulate his thoughts ... he was elected because his electorate ALREADY LIKED the way he thinks.

It can't be for him to collect the facts ... that's what he has a staff for.

It can't be because he needs to compose a statement about the facts collected because it takes about 1/2 an hr to read whatever has been synopsized and put in front to him and he is supposed to be intelligent and articulate enpough to

ONE; determine immediately what side he is on, and

TWO; Say so.

When someone like Cruz tries to do something they all cry and say what he’s doing is stupid. Naturally, this is exactly what the media and democrats want to hear. If, for just once, the republicans would stand together and explain what they’re doing and who is shutting down the government everytime they get in front of a microphone, they could succeed. But you can always tell they’re going to fold eventually. If I know my enemy will quit eventually, I’ll hang on until they do.

I always wonder about these kinds of petitions.

They're merely a means to build a fundraising database.

Support Eric Gurr to oust John Boehner in OH-8

Also, press your Representative to NOT support Boehner for Speaker - or Cantor, either!
