Mullahs Ahoy; Pentagon to Iran: Sail wherever you like

The U.S. Defense Department said on Monday that Iranian warships are allowed to sail into the Atlantic Ocean so long as “they understand the responsibilities” of cruising so close to the U.S. border.

The Pentagon’s pronouncement comes just days after Iran announced that warships were approaching the U.S. maritime border in response to America’s naval presence in the Persian Gulf.

Asked to respond to Iran’s pointed military rhetoric, Pentagon spokesman Bill Speaks told the Washington Free Beacon that it would not be an issue for Iranian ships to enter the Atlantic.

“Freedom of the seas applies to all maritime nations, all navies, everywhere—so long as they understand the responsibilities, which come with that freedom,” Speaks said. “So, if they are able to send their ships to the Atlantic, I’m sure they won’t be surprised to find many, many others already there.”

“Imagine the Iranians surrounded by a flotilla of Boston Whalers filled with bikini clad women, guys drinking beer, and American flags flying.”

A great movie scene!!

And just ‘what if’ the ships were loaded with jihadi martyrs and a big nuke that they could detonate near a US naval base or large city?...................

THIS is Obama's navy!

Photobucket

Armed with a single M2 .50 caliber Browning, this much feared naval vessel carries up to 30 rounds of aluminum piercing ammunition. It is the first in an entirely new naval architecture class -- technically, “clitoral” (not to be confused with “littoral”) -- being pushed on the Pentagon by the defense minded wussies in the Obama Administration as a cost-saving measure. If you look closely, you can see the heavy-duty seat restraint which prevents the pilot/gunner – Kenny “Kamakazi” Kowalski – from leaping from the vessel prior to engaging the enemy. The 12 V trolling motor – which lacks a reverse function -- propels this sophisticated craft forward at a top speed of 4 knots. Reverse travel – at approximately 35 knots -- is achieved by firing the Browning.

The no-bid contract to build 200 of these fearsome warships was to have been awarded to Obama-Soros-Emanuel Shipbuilding and Stormdoor Manufacturing (formerly General Dynamics) and will be administered by trusted Obama associate and former Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel who commented that, at $12 million each, they are a bargain. They will be constructed exclusively at the company’s facility in Kenya with major subcomponent production (rivets and miscellaneous fasteners) at the company’s Harlem and Skokie plants. Delivery is expected to begin in 2024 (or as soon as the subcontractors’ funds are safely in the contractor's Swiss account).

Can out surveillance tell that the Iranian boats are getting ready to launch a missile before it actually fires? They will be in a great position to launch that EMP.

"...what will Obama do about it?"

LIke his mentor Rev. Wright - he would claim: "The chickens have come home to roost" and declare we "had it comin' to us".

I hate to think that these puny Iranian warships could enter US territorial waters with impunity or even go so far as to shell the US coast risking little more than a nasty letter from our Commander in Chief. Obama won't defend the sovereignty of our land borders so why should we think that he would defend our coasts?

In other words: Thanks for the practice you will be giving our attack subs. I guarantee that at ANY moment while the Iranians are in the Atlantic their ship could be sunk.

Anyone care to guess how many US attack submarines are trailing the Iranian “fleet,” with war shots in the tubes?
