WASHINGTON (AP) -- The earnings gap between young adults with and without bachelor's degrees has stretched to its widest level in nearly half a century. It's a sign of the growing value of a college education despite rising tuition costs, according to an analysis of census data released Tuesday.

Young adults with just a high-school diploma earned 62 percent of the typical salary of college graduates. That's down from 81 percent in 1965, the earliest year for which comparable data are available.

Does the gap include the cost of a degree...?

A 100 k degree over 10 years is 10 k a year worth of income...

RE :” They were like my local Comcast cable.
......
The brand is so toxic here they go by an alias now: “Xfinity”

Same here in Maryland, the “Xfinity” junk mail keeps coming in.

I could write a small book with all the disaster stories from using them. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Equipment sucked, software on it sucked, service sucked, total crap. I dreaded calling those idiots for anything.
They would break my cable then demand I stay home on a weekday for them to fix what they broke.

I was a hostage till Verizon FIOS put their lines in then I jumped to them. Its like day and night. I have accomplished too much to put up with such needless aggravation.

When my daddy retired from the Marines, he became a plumber. His motto was “There would always be a need for someone to clean out the pipes.”

He never forsaw the local 1%’ers exploiting the illegals to undercut the value of American labor.

/Fortunately, between his pension and three rather fast-selling books he wrote, he doesn’t have to worry about illegals and the people who exploit them for profit.

//Freepers may worship them, but “entrepeneurs” tend to be the scum of the earth. They’ll rape their grandmothers for profit.

My daughter is attending the local community college and was talking to me today about remedial courses. She said “I should not have someone in my chemistry class that is taking remedial math”. Have to agree with her.
