Dubai Plans to Start Drone Deliveries Within the Year

The United Arab Emirates government is in the process of testing a fleet of small, unpiloted flying drones designed to get official documents and packages like driver’s licenses, ID cards and permits into the hands of citizens.

Hope they are well armed against dronecatchers. I’d be peeved if someone else grabbed the drone that was delivering my driver’s license.

Ha! I finally got what this reminded me of, the “special deliveries” that take place during the Hunger Games in those storie, little thingy-s dropped by parachute to the combatants.

They pay third world foreign workers 50 cents an hour over there... they could hire humans to crawl on the knees cheaper...
