From what I understand, 50 House members can call for a leadership election.

IIRC, there are 80+ members in the Tea Party Caucus. If they won't fight over this, why are they there?

From what I understand, 50 House members can call for a leadership election.

But we're not talking about the whip or the House Majority Leader. The speaker is elected by the House as a whole. Wouldn't the whole House have to vote to remove him?
