WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement after voting against raising the debt ceiling.
After five years of out-of-control White House spending, including a jobless, trillion-dollar stimulus, now is hardly the time to give the President carte blanche to continue his spending spree. I voted against raising the debt ceiling because we need sensible reforms to cut down on spending and restrain Washington going forward.

Someone very articulate but concise needs to give crash courses to potential voters about the basics of this, when they campaign.
Vote for cloture and vote against a bill that is assured of passage... this is the highest order of deceit. You are a cad mister cornyn... a lying pos progressive politician of the lowest magnitude.
Someone’s feeling the heat back home....

All the way, brother. Cornyn gets nothing, here, neither in the primary or general.
Compromisers deserve what they get, and we’re getting the business— our hat handed to us. It’s “us”, or “them”.
Most in TX don’t understand how voting for cloture is the same as voting for a bill even if the senator votes “No” on the roll call. They just can’t understand. So the Cornball Express continues unabated.
After we all contacted his office, told him to stand with Cruz. After he has spent millions on Radio Ads saying how conservative he is.
Cornyn wants to do something.
Too Late AH.
People are wising up to Cornyn's tricks, and I know a lot that intend to vote for someone else in the primary.

All twelve of the RINOS who voted for cloture voted ‘against’ passage of the bill to raise the debt limit.
You are incredibly tiresome.

Flake and McQueeg. Both. Those sonsabitches. Just when I thought I couldn’t get more pissed at them.
It would be a miracle if Cornball were forced into a runoff. But Dewhurst may be forced into one for lt. gov.
What percent do you think Cornball will poll on March 4? I say 65 because of lack of ID of the opposition. I hope he could be kept to 45 percent.
Cornyn's numbers don't look that great, and there are a lot of challengers to take votes.

Rinos told him they had enough votes and since he was in a primary fight he could vote the way his constituents wanted him to - THIS TIME.
Mini me McAmnesty, Grahamnesty, would have voted for it but he’s up for re-election. How convenient. Time to send the RINOs packin.

And are voters going to fall for the old safe no-vote trick?
You betcha.
“He really thinks his constituents are stupid.”
Surprise,about 50 percent are stupid.
