(Newser) The wife of a retired lawyer who was killed by a mail bomb this week has also died, reports the Tennessean. Marion Setzer, 72, had been listed as seriously injured in Monday's explosion. Meanwhile, police trying to get to the bottom of the bombing may have found a vital clue. Among the debris from the blastwhich occurred near the front of Jon and Marion Setzer's rural Tennessee home after he picked up the package from his mailbox 200 yards awaywas a note police believe was attached to the bomb. Though they aren't telling what it says, a bomb expert notes police will be looking into revenge as a motive; Setzer, 74, had previously worked on general civil cases, including bankruptcy, before his retirement.

Wednesday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation told News 2 the agency has received more than half dozen tips in connection to the bombing.
The agency is chasing down all those tips.
In my hometown. The police don’t have a clue on this one.
I’m not looking for ideas, and if anyone responds, I’d prefer they do so in general terms . . . I wouldn’t even know how to begin constructing a mail bomb.
Just like any other IED, ask a muslim friend, or attend a class at your local mosque...
put a stamp on a firecracker.
Any clues from perusing Angie's List?
You take a bomb, put it in a box and mail it.
This thread is guaranteed to get the NSA’s attention.
I wonder why someone would include a note in a bomb package. It’s not like the recipient will get to read it.
People who send bombs in the mail are generally not the sharpest crayons in the box.
Was the bomb sent through the mail or placed in the box by the bomber?
Is the idiot headline writer saying the bomb died, too? Another consequence of dumbed-down education...illiterate reporters and editors.
"Husband, wife dead after package explodes at Lebanon home"
Much better.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I am sure these people were paragons of virtue.
However saw what local bankruptcy lawyers did for their client, an acquaintance... with timing, inaction, poor advice, and billing on the minute, the lawyers picked the bones on the assets and drove them into full insolvency and loss. They lost everything.

Ted is experienced in the art of mail bombs. Just ask Yale Professor David Gelernter.
Would be easier to place the device in the box at night rather than risk posting it.
Yep, old Ted.
First thing I thought, too.
Brilliant Man. Wonder what he thinks about every night before he falls asleep.
Update:
The son-in-law of a Tennessee couple killed by a bomb at their home has been arrested, federal and state authorities said on Thursday.
Richard Parker, 49, lives behind the house of the victims, estate-planning lawyer Jon Setzer, 74, and his wife Marion, 72.
“They have the same driveway,” one official said.
Officials declined to say what led them to Parker or what the motive may have been.
They said the bomb that exploded in the house was placed at the home and was not sent through the mail or shipped.
