Democrats lie. Just look at the sleaze that was just elevated to Atty Gen in Virginia. He said he was against changing the Virginia Law about same-sex marriage. As soon as he was able to cheat his way in, he changes the law. I don’t know how anyone with a conscience could support any Dem!

I worked 25 years for the State of Alaska DOT as a draftsman. In March of 1992 George Bush the first issued an executive order that all projects funded by the FHWA would be designed and plans be labeled using the metric system. Every state was ordered to change their road signs to kilometers instead of miles, also.
A big part of my job was preparing acquisition plats for whoever was affected by an upcoming project - the drawings were 8.5" by 14" and since the public wasn't being ordered to go metric, I had to dimension everything on these tiny drawings in metric AND English. It was ridiculous to say the least, and when the republicans took over congress in 1994, they said to forget that whole metric thing and we did. I don't like executive orders by a prez - not the way things are supposed to work.
