The state legitimately decided not to recognize gay marriage. It should not have to do so. No one has hte right to order it to do so.
You’d be surprised how many Texans favor this redefinition of marriage, particularly in inner cities.
“The next legal challenge is “I was a legal man when we married and now I am legally female married to a female, make same-sex married so we’re still in accordance with the law”.”
The state has one legal document showing the sex of the person and that is the birth certificate. The state is not going to change that so it doesn’t matter what the person does to mutilate the body, the sex remains the same.
Ok, maybe I misread the article.
And I am a lesbian trapped in a man’s body.
