Rumsfeld: Clinton Was Responsible for Lack of Protection in Benghazi

Donald Rumsfeld, a man who doesn’t mince his words, placed the blame for the Benghazi disaster squarely on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in an interview posted by Breitbart TV on Thursday.

Per Rumsfeld . . . “In this instance, there was widespread knowledge, as was pointed out by Congressman Issa, the British knew that there were al-Qaeda threats, and they pulled their people out because they knew they couldn’t protect them.”

“Our people knew there were al-Qaeda threats, and they not only did not protect them, but they didn’t pull them out. That, in my view, is a neglect of important responsibilities. The idea that it falls to someone down the line, I think, is a misunderstanding. Clearly, the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the person responsible.”

She was also responsible for the panty bomber and the Boston Bombers. No one can tell me she didn’t know about either of these.

I think she’s far more interested in looting the private sector then caring out the duties of any office she holds.

She may be “the smartest woman who has ever lived” as her ‘RAT comrades and admirers like to say but her incompetence got four Americans killed.

Rumsfeld is credible.

He probably is correct on the Benghazi issue. But he was also the one who absolutely refused to prepare for a possible insurgency when Iraq was invaded.

I used to be a huge admirer of Rumsfeld. But now I see him as this generation's Robert McNamara.

What about "she set Stevens up to be kidnapped so her BFF Mohammed Morsi could get the Blind Sheik released from U.S. custody in exchange for Stevens?"

Morsi's #1 stated goal as president of Egypt was to gain release of the Blind Sheik. With Romney potentially victorious on 06 Nov 2012, Morsi would have only until 20 Jan 2013 to get the Blind Sheik released.

Just because Hillary Clinton doesn’t have any intelligence, executive experience, skills or talent doesn’t mean she has no ambition for wealth and power. We, as a nation, keep mistaking excessive ambition for talent and skill. The only thing that excessive ambition indicates is that the person is excessively ambitious. If intelligence, executive experience and ability are important for the job, then vote for people who have intelligence, executive experience and ability. If you want an incompetent for President, vote for Hillary Clinton. She has proven that she’s incompetent.

I'm currently reading The Dispensable Nation by Vali Nasr.

He discusses the incalculable damage the Obama admin and advisers have done to foreign policy.

The book discusses the diplomatic moves that Clinton and Holbrooke attempted to make and the policy implementation that should have occurred. They were ignored and overridden by the unqualified politicos in the WH.

It's a very good read by Holbrooke’s senior adviser.

I don't like Hillary Clinton. I think she's a danger to this country as much as Obama is.

That said, this book gives a lot of insight into the disastrous policies of the Obama regime and the damage we now live with and will live with for the foreseeable future.

Hillary is no Marshall or Rice, nor is she anywhere near the caliber of past State Department Secretaries. She is superior to the current occupant of the WH. The democrats should be ashamed they pushed Obama over Clinton during the primaries.

I did think she was treated obscenely, especially during the debates when she given the first question EVERY time only to listen as Obama said in rejoinder, “Yes, I'd do it the same way, but better.”

I won't vote for her. My political philosophy is far removed from hers. I will join the campaign against her, but frankly, she's a better man than Obama.

Bengazi is also discussed in this book, but I haven't read that far yet.

Can we trust any discussion, book, broadcast, explanation on anything anymore? I don't think so. The country is damaged beyond repair. There are so many self-serving lies in the political realm alone, that trust has been broken irrevocably.

Clinton was questioned about these cables in her hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee on January 23, 2013, but denied ever having read the emails.

Hillary is another person that wants the title but doesn't want to do any of the work. Or shoulder the responsibilities.

One of MRS. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE first statements was. I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY ATTACKED US AFTER WE LIBERATED THEM. That statement tells the whole story of the DISASTROUS WARPED CODE PINK FOREIGN POLICY that the leftist democrats have and why we did nothing. The left actually believes the terrorists are our friends.

You hear of people who say they “want responsibility.” Nobody wants responsibility. Those who say they do wand authority. The two should never be separated, but they are distinct things which tyrants large and small will separate if possible.

As we all know, this was about re-patriating 15K MANPADS.

Or preventing the re-patriating of 15K MANPADS.

Mrs. Morsi knows, and is holding the cards on this one.

Russia reported two 11k ft and 14k ft missile attempts on one of their passenger planes.

Great point!

The Boston Marathon Bombers, Flashbang and Speedbump. A point that needs to be made over and over and won't play well in the Northeast.

You reading this Howie Carr?
