According to 2009 data from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 41 percent of all births were to unmarried women. The percentage has risen steadily since at least 1980... In 1980, it stood at 18.4 percent. By 1990, it was 28.0 percent. And by 2000 it was 33.2 percent. In 2009, 17 percent of births to Asian-Pacific Islanders were out of wedlock, with non-Hispanic whites at 29 percent, 53 percent for Hispanics, 65 percent for American Indians and Native Alaskans and 73 percent for non-Hispanic blacks.
These stark numbers reveal far more about the rapid state of decay within a society than GDP or employment data. In effect, they tell us of the disintegration in the moral vision of a people who have tossed aside the old restraints, eschewing the traditional moral appeals of praise and blame while losing faith in an institution that has been the wellspring of American virtue... The pattern being taught centered upon repentance which was spotty in Jacob's family. If you look at Jacob's blessings, one can hardly call it a "family of G_d" in its entirety.
What I object to is the Christian tendency to idealize Biblical characters with little concern for accuracy. A great many of the teachings end up distorted or lost that way.
Not a liberal response at all in the light of their exalted opinion of themselves.
Dan Quayle’s mistake, and that of other conservatives, was that he backed down. Rather he should have doubled down. This message might have cause an immediate opposition but a steadfast resolve would have, in time, brought support. This is what Liberals know that Conservatives do not. They never retreat on their ideals no matter what is the opposition. They are in it for the long haul and are not just looking for immediate results. It took them 100 years to finally get national health care.
There is an old saying that no one follows an uncertain trumpet. All too often Conservatives turn tail at the slightest opposition. Who would follow such cowardly leaders? Perseverance is needed if we are to restore this nation.

Whatever happened to marriage? The government stopped reinforcing either as a noble concept or goal; it has eradicated the Judeo-Christian WASP ethic of this country.
The gubmint freebies destroyed the native populations as surely as it did the urban blacks; Alaskan natives would have parties showing off how much food they could eat (and regurgitate) and how many blankets they could burn. It was all free, and would all be replaced, by White People.

I know of a guy who asked his live in girlfriend to marry him. She told him no because she’d lose her benefits.

That was the year I graduated from high school. At that time stigma was still attached to unwed pregnancies. Now unwed mothers and their baby bumps are celebrated in the media.
Who needs parents when a child has Uncle Obama, Uncle Ried, Auntie Hillary and Auntie Nancy to take care of you?

A lot of people, if they even think about it and are honest, will tell you that that standard is simply their own.
If it’s your own standard, it isn’t a standard, it’s an opinion, no better than anyone else’s.
There really is only one self-proving standard, and in it, “shacking up” is definitely wrong. It’s one of the Big Ten kinda wrong.

There used to be a stigma about divorce, too, but that seems to have disappeared.
The problem with all the Indians in the river villages along the Yukon is there isn’t economic base nowadays. They use to catch salmon, sell trk loads to buyers, cut wood for paddle wheelers that ran up the river until 1950’s, trap, and hunt. The natural resources salmon and game have been nullified by in increasing White pressure with equal access & ocean fishing. So the Indians can’t live in the village the way they always have and don’t have the education or where with all to move to cities for employment; no easy answers to problems that came about after us Whites flooded into the area. They will be just a memory in less than 100 years.
We are glad they chose birth over abortion, but homecoming Queen? But even that is more virtuous than homosexual ones. May God grant them repentance and us greater love and holiness.
They have the same problems as natives in the lower 48, with the same choice of outcomes: integration with a modern society or extinction.
