But the democraps love the unions! just go along with democraps. they would never burn you.
Look at Obamacare! The democraps protected your unions health plans like they said they would... remember?
Wanna bet the UMW voted for Cuomo?
New York is doomed .left in 1980 .and upstate looks like Detroit except Albany area government jobs..
“A United Mine Workers official blasted NY Governor Andrew Cuomo’s SAFE Act as the cause of Remington Outdoor Co.’s decision to open a new plant in Alabama.”
Ummmm.....DUH!!! What did they think was going to happen. In the future, the NY state government will also be able to blame those nasty, unwelcome conservatives for leaving their exclusive state and causing the precipitous drop in tax revenues.
Cuomo is a disaster for this state and America this disaster awaits you if you elect Hillary Clinton as your next President. New York politicians specialize in wrecking economies. I live in upstate New York and I watched it deteriorate over the last 50+ years. The Republicans are no better with most of them being RINOS. For example my Republican congressman Gibson is a sellout and now can be classified as a RINO. To make make matters worse he is running against a homosexual who is married to one of the founders of Facebook. Whoever wins will be a loss for New York State citizens. I’m glad we can still move to a more hospitable state when we are ready to go.
BLIND PIG ROOTS UP ACORN !!!
The people here are excited about Remington coming here. I was reading comments at al.com and one poster said we had enough guns so why make more? The others were all for it.
Does the Mine Workers union represent NY gun makers ?
Exactly right MNGal. I doubt if they could possibly comprehend how many potential new businesses will never even be STARTED in NY as a result of their moronic policies. The Remington fiasco is just one example that we can actually SEE. How many others?
Wait ‘til they see that all new Remington product will come out of the AL plant and that the NY plant is allowed to die a slow death by transfers, retirements and buyouts.
I live in Arkansas and get New York advertisements on TV saying “Come to New York and create your industry and if you qualify the first ten years are tax free for your business”. So that proves they know taxes will cause a company to move (along with other restrictive laws) but they just can’t stop.
Unions are no more for “the working man” as they are for aggrandizing power via electing Democrats and handing over millions of dues to elect them.
And we have enough cars, why make more?
And there are enough refrigerators, stoves and XBox game consoles.
Probably enough blue jeans.
Maybe someday these Unions will learn? You sleep in a bed with fleas, you are going to get a few on your skin.
I left Western NY/Southern Tier 21 years ago, one of the best decisions I ever made in my life.
Screw the unions.
They voted for Obama, big city Dims and their anti-business policies.
Boo fn hoo.
It's a sad tale that has been going on for decades. I know. I've been there, done that. Got the hell out of NY. Upstate went from a wonderful place to live to a rural Detroit thanks to the unions, Liberals, and envirowackos.
You can only get those tax breaks if you locate to a tax zone. Doubt that NYC relocation qualifies.
Wonder what the individuals will think of the corporation paying no taxes while they pay one of the heaviest income taxes in America?
“one poster said we had enough guns so why make more?”
You can never have too many guns or enough ammunition.
Nudge or Shove? Obama Admin Takes Another Shot in War on Coal With Announcement of Something Never Done Before
Sep. 20, 2013 7:52am Liz Klimas
WASHINGTON (TheBlaze/AP) In June a White House adviser said a war on coal is exactly whats needed to combat climate change. Now, the Obama administration is taking another step in waging that war, pressing ahead with tough requirements for new coal-fired power plants, moving to impose for the first time strict limits on the pollution blamed for global warming.
Pretty sad that all the ancestory/history that dwells there has been cast aside and forgotten.
I was 5 years behind you. So were all 3 of my brothers and almost everyone I grew up with in my neighborhood. We all moved out except one friend who owns his own landscaping business. The unions killed the steel mills and auto parts business first. Now they are killing all the medium sized manufactures. The only ones left are the old people like my 85 year old mother.
It is too bad for some of these workers, but many of them liked getting the union benefits and brought it on themselves. Many of them are no different than the overpaid lazy bums that worked for Bethlehem Steel back in the 1970’s.
Not at all hard to understand. The UMW represents Remington.
The United Auto Workers represents Colt or Winchester.
However, Little Andy should be given credit for creating jobs...IN ALABAMA! LOL! Way to go Andy. You da man!
I left Orchard Park after graduating from SUNY Syracuse in 1985 and only go back to visit mom once a year or so. WNY is a depressing place to visit.
Cuomo is a Commie pink fag. Godd riddance.
I wonder when “the working man” is going to wake up? Maybe he would rather get $10 an hour in umemployment than make $25 an hour working.
I think it was this poster who said she hated guns. I think I read a statistic which said hands and hammers kill more people than guns so why are they picking on guns?
Really? You think so?
Yeah, but we lost ours in that boating accident.
I am looking at the new R51......this will push it up my wish list.
At least they will get more time to spend with their families once their plant closes down.
