The TTAG tipster who alerted us to PepsiCo’s financial support of Gabrielle Giffords’ 2013 civilian disarmament gabfest entered “pepsico” into the search bar at aspenideas.org. (Fiendishly clever, eh?) Up popped Brad Jakeman, President, Global Beverage Group, PepsiCo, Inc., right below none other than Gabrielle Giffords, the doyenne of disarmament. Being the seasoned journalist I am I Googled Mr. Jakeman’s name and the festival and found the YouTubery above. According to Mr. Jakeman’s full official bio the Aussie was the marketing maven behind Activision’s gun-intensive Call of Duty video game (“There’s a soldier in all of us”). Here he is below Ms. Giffords .

"I’m running out of soft drink company choices."

Soft drinks worst thing you can put in your body.

Finally got tired of tracking a company’s politics for product consumption. Pepsi’s president today could be someone else’s president tomorrow. What is the CEO’s position. Back in the fifties while consuming a bottle (they reused the bottles back then)of Pepsi I noticed the bottom half of the bottle was filled with sludge. Have never had a Pepsi since.

Then don’t drink soda. I had to quit when I was diagnosed as a diabetic and artificial sweeteners in diet soda gave me a bad case of the munchies. I’m lucky I have good tap water, but if you don’t, invest in a filtration contraption (such as Brita) or squeeze some lemon or lime in your water.

No—I actually saw that—and actually almost vomited up the Coke I was drinking at the time.

I’ve been addicted to Coke for more than 60 years-—don’t think that will change now.

It is what it is.

He out to be fired on the spot for business and overall stupidity

Why a company would throw itself into a left wing policy especially one that is angrily opposed is stupidity beyond description.

i don’t know why she quit. like most libtards they’ve shown to screw things up they only need half a brain at most.

seriously though, when was the big ceremony where gabby and mike burned all their old pictures at the rifle ranges, and proudly handed over every single gun and other dangerous weapon they have? did i miss this media extravaganza? i mean if all citizens should be disarmed, then start with those campaigning for it.

Only one item on that list I bought in theist year
Quaker products my stomach says are full of soy filler which it complains about loud and long
My BIL had worked for a large soy research company 22 out if 23 came to the conclusion that soy was not tolerated by humans. So they fired them all keeping their or destroying years of research Now I’m sounding like the liberals: grow your own! Don’t eat anything pre made ! Learn to cook! Lol

She was a Democrat before she was shot, so I doubt she was ever pro-2nd Amendment. Either way, her motives are irrelevant. What matters is what she proposes, and the anti gun lobby is simply wrong. More gun rules and regulations do not stop criminals from using guns.

Frankly, it wouldn’t even matter if she was right. She has no legal or moral right under the US Constitution to ban guns short of a constitutional amendment. THAT is the contract between We the People and the federal government, and it contains all the provisions necessary to amend it.

Spot On!!!

Ms. Giffords wandered into a public area where anyone could freely go....and they did. A very good man was killed along with five more out of the eighteen shot. Have the others demanded disarmament of lawful people? Giffords is in a way a puppet for the anti-gun people, especially her husband who wants to run for office....on the back of our Constitution's Second Amendment....Jared Loughner was a known nut...does this Politically Correct society carry some blame? Whatever, no more Pepsi in this house!
