NFIB ENDORSES SENATOR JOHN CORNYN (who funded ObamaCare with his cloture votes)

The National Federation of Independent Business, Texas’ and the nation’s leading small-business association, today endorsed John Cornyn for a sixth term in the U.S. Senate. NFIB announced its support for Sen. Cornyn at a campaign event at Hotshot Delivery, an NFIB member business based in Houston.

“Our members support the candidates who support small business, and Senator Cornyn’s record speaks for itself,” said Lisa Goeas, NFIB vice president for Political and Grassroots. “Over the past 12 years, John Cornyn has voted with small business on key issues 100 percent of the time.”

Goeas said Cornyn understands burdening small businesses with unnecessary regulations and excessive taxes makes it even harder for them to grow and create jobs. “Senator Cornyn is committed to bringing the same commonsense approach to reform in Washington," she added.

“Senator Cornyn’s voting record on small-business issues is perfect, literally,” said Will Newton, executive director of NFIB/Texas. “He clearly understands the challenges facing Texas’ entrepreneurs and small-business owners. His past work proves he is a champion of and advocate for small business, and his work in this Congress on a proposed balanced budget amendment shows he will continue to fight for the issues that matter to our members.”

All that matters is who votes, hopefully the Tea Party can send Cornyn on to his next job as a corporate lobbyist.

Another narrow focused collective supporting a deceiver/RINO/traitor to the detriment of non-collectivized citizens of the republic. What part of FORCED TOTALITARIANCARE do they not understand? National Federation of Independent Collectivists ALERT!

NFIB supports Amnesty for illegals, just like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. No surprise they are endorsing Cornyn.

Our members support the candidates who support small business, and Senator Cornyn’s record speaks for itse

In other words, Cornyn found ways to shovel tax money to "Small Business" government subsidies and boondoggles.

NFIB needs to remove the “I” from its acronym.

The 100% support means nothing. What these groups do is base the voting record on a few cherry picked issues. Behind closed doors, they work with leadership to choose votes that look favorable to candidates and enjoy large membership support. Harder issues like stopping pork barrel projects, deficit reduction, debt limit, lower taxes, (real reform) reduce regulation, trade pacts, etc. are never chosen.

For example, here are the cupcake votes (2011 - 2013)

U.S. SENATE KEY VOTES

1099 Reporting Repeal Amendment (S.Amdt. 9)

Repealing The Healthcare Law (S.Amdt. 13)

Davis-Bacon Restrictions Amendment (S.Amdt. 19)

SBIR/STTR Reauthorization Act (S. 1867)

Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act (H.R. 4)

Regulatory Reform Amendment (S.Amdt. 390)

Duplicative Government Programs Amendment (H.J.Res. 66)

Contractor Withholding Repeal (H.R. 674)

Balanced Budget Amendment (S.J.Res. 10)

Nullify the NLRB “Ambush” Election Rule (S.J. Res. 36)

Tax Hike Prevention Amendment (S. Amdt. 2573)

For the record, most GOP gets 100%.. However, Paul, Lee and Coburn did not vote for #4- SBIR/STTR Reauthorization Act. This is an SBA give way.

NFIB must have its head deeply buried in the sand. Cornyn is a zero.

Wow, I’m a NFIB member in Ohio. It’s amazing how many organizations and individuals are giving up key components to the tenet of conservatism. I just don’t get it...
