ean Hannity has long been right-wing radio's dominant silver medalist, second only to the untouchable Rush Limbaugh. So when Michael Savage, his new competitor in afternoon drivetime, started throwing punches in the hopes of ginning up a public feud, Hannity demurred.
But now the first month's numbers are in, and in at least five of nation's largest markets, Savage is not only beating Hannity -- he's trouncing him.

*Sean
Maybe the station changes are affecting the ratings.
I can’t take Savage in very big doses...really self absorbed!!
That would be expected!!!
I will go out of my way to try to listen to Rush Limbaugh or to Mark Levin.
I do not bother trying to find Sean Hannity.
If I happen to come across him, I may or may not listen.
If Michael Savage is on, I will turn the radio off.
Ugh.... Wiener Nation will drone on about this for weeks.
I can no longer even find a station carrying Sean Hannity in Dallas.
The old station now specializes in 24-7 inanity chatter. Boring and useless; I can’t imagine it is a commercial success.
I don’t listen to Savage. But Hannity is really an amateur at times. His ‘you knows’ and his constant faux self-deprecation really grates.
does WBAP still have Rush?
Sean Hannity is Republican not conservative. It’s sad to realize how many don’t know the difference.
Sean has no original thoughts. He just repeats what Rush says.
The fact that Savage beats him in major markets should be a warning
sign to Hannity. His days of propping up Karl Tokyo Rove and Uncle Bill
Family Values Bennett has come back to haunt him.
Give credit where credit is due. Savage is kicking Hannity’s booty
for whatever reason.
Yes
I've tried to listen to Hannity but seems like each show he has guests on who argue with each other or with Hannity. People yelling at each other is not quality listening. It's like being in a dysfunctional home. At some point you just turn it off and avoid going back for more.
I couldn’t agree more!
I stopped listening to Savage when the news came out that he made the maximum allowable contribution to Jerry Brown’s campaign for attorney general, his stepping stone to the statehouse.
One of my favorites is Andrew Wilkow, but he goes head-to-head with Rush. I also liked John Batchelor, but he disappeared from our market a couple years ago.
If you read past the first couple paragraphs, one sees that Wiener Nation is actually losing listeners in the big markets he picked up while Sean is growing the listenership on the stations he moved to.
No Rush, no Hannity, No Mark Levin.
Maybe they have moved to a new station, but if so I have yet to find them.
Maybe somewhere on AM.
I have tried to listen to Hannity. bland. At least with Doc S., who knows where the show will end up!
