With the eyes of the world on the brutal crackdown on dissent in Venezuela, the regime of Nicolas Maduro decided to try to take a few of those eyes out of action. CNN reporter Karl Penhaul found himself staring down the barrel of a nickel-plated pistol, as plainclothes police confiscated his crews camera and transmission equipment. That forced him and his crew to find someplace else as a reporting center, taking them out of the center of the conflict:

They should have confiscated the reporter, too.

Trade the cameras and crap for Piers Morgan.

The last sentence from the story ...
“What kind of liberty involves seizing cameras at gunpoint from foreign journalists?”
Answer:
The same kind of liberty where news that is unfavorable about the gov’t is suppressed.
The same kind of liberty where a sitting governor proclaims that a large group of people have no place in “his” state.
The same kind of liberty where the ruling “elite” proclaim that the laws don’t apply to them and can change them on a whim.
Etc. etc. etc. .....

I think most of the American MSM could use a little attitude adjustment time in a Venezuelan jail, ... and all the Brits.

Sheesh -- Couldn't Venezuela have seized the cameras of a news network that someone actually watches?
To: Eric in the Ozarks
He might as well run for president while he’s down there.

I'm guessing CNN didn’t have a prenuptial agreement like they did with Saddam back in 2004. ;~))

I doubt if either of CNN’s viewers were really that upset. Coyote Blitzer couldn’t report it because he was changing his panties after wetting them watching Ted Nugent’s pro-American/anti-communist tirade.

Friend of mine told me tonight that 60,000 elite cuban troops are in or on way to Venezuela. Hope this is wrong, but suspect the number is large.
Expect email tomorrow with more details.
Nothing is moving on this in the media from what I have been told.
