The answer in each case is Barack Obama. While running for the presidency as a senator, Obama was quite indignant and at times, uncivil, in pushing for Washington to live within the means of American taxpayers.
On July 3, 2008, then-Sen. Obama said in Fargo, N.D.: "The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion dollars for the first 42 presidents — number 43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. It's irresponsible. It's unpatriotic!"
This came four days after Obama pledged in Independence, Mo., "I will never question the patriotism of others in this campaign."
Now politicians and pundits often flip-flop on issues. Any intelligent person should listen carefully to the other side, consider new information and adjust his thinking if warranted.
But in this case, Obama never intended to balance the budget. The liberal National Journal declared him the most liberal member of the Senate during his brief four years there. Liberals live to spend other people's money on the things liberals want.
In fact, it was Obama — not Bush — who signed into law the first budget with a trillion-dollar deficit shortly after taking office. Democrats had delayed the budget deal until after his inauguration so they could spend more money.
Since then, Democrats have tried to play Pin The Tail On The Elephant on their big deficits, just as they try to credit Bill Clinton for balancing the budget when in fact it took two government shutdowns for a Republican Congress and a Democratic president to finally agree to balance the budget for the first time since Republican Richard Nixon.
He had a Democratic Congress. Perhaps political balance is needed to balance a budget.
As insincere as Obama was when he said it, I agree with what Obama said. George Walker Bush spent way too much money the taxpayers did not have.
While one cannot undo the past, we can protect the future.
Wanting the federal government to live within the means of American taxpayers does not make one a wacko extremist; it makes you a patriot.
Just ask Barack Obama.
Whether he's a metrosexual, a homosexual, a Marxist, a Muslim or a Muppet... or all of the above... let it not be said that the First Fraud doesn't have balls.
Just saying.
Bring back jobs to America, while we are after our government to spend less.

This reminder of Obama’s previous views on the debt limit is exactly the sort of thing the MSM never bring up. That is why I rate the MSM lower than prostitutes, and I’m not being sarcastic.
