This is becoming more and more confusing moment by moment. Read from twitter a little while back (Lord, only knows if this is true) that police are setting up ambush areas in the vacated buildings.
Remember the "Arab Spring" in Egypt? Didn't got too well, despite all the cheering from our inept politicians. At best we'll have the same development in Ukraine. At worst....who knows?

I believe you when you say those (soldiers or police) in evacuated buildings could be snipers. Switched off live feed on my end and am still running searches. Little to nothing appears to be coming forth from those searches. This is the best thing going for information, even though the information is sparse.
Activists claim snipers have opened fires from roof tops. Certain has been a lot of firing. can't tell if activist firing back.

Head shots? I suppose the ranges are close enough, and the snipers aren’t in too much threat themselves so they can go for the head. But IIRC, American snipers usually aim for the chest - but that might be at the longer ranges.
But, from a Syrian military sniper from 2011 (via google search): “They were also ordered to position themselves in places from which it would be easy to shoot. They were ordered to aim for the head as soon as they saw a protester. Their goal was to terrify people so they wouldn’t leave their houses.”
I guess a head shot would be more of a graphic thing than a chest shot.

Yes, that looks like the same grenade the young man held up earlier.
After she help it up, she held up a cell phone with a bullet hole through the center of the screen. After all the posts about snipers and head shots, I shudder to think where the bullet ended up. :-(
