A tea party group is looking to mount a primary challenge against House Speaker John Boehner.
On Saturday, a group called the Tea Party Leadership Fund PAC will hold a forum in Easton, Ohio part of Boehners district for Republican candidates looking to challenge the Speaker. Candidates in attendance will include businessman Eric Gurr and J.D. Winteregg, a teacher who has been active in local tea party groups.
The tea party group says that they will also hold a straw poll of prospective candidates.
Conservative and tea party groups renewed calls to oust Boehner from the Speakership last week, after he brought legislation to the floor to increase the debt ceiling without any conditions. The majority of the Republican conference opposed the bill, with just 28 Republicans joining with Democrats to pass the bill.
The 28 Republicans included Boehner who, as Speaker, rarely votes for legislation.

Good. :)
I hope we don’t have to pull a “Kiev” to get rid of a political traitor.
Very good, Neville Chamberlain must not go on to lead us into defeat!
exactly
we need an opposition party
I hope that this TP group asks the candidates if they will respect Congress's Article I-Section 8 powers if elected.
But more importantly, TP group also needs to ask candidates if they will respect Justice John Marshall's official clarification of Congress's limited power to lay only those taxes which they can justify under Section 8.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Now that I look at the groups name, Tea Party Leadership (emphasis added) Fund, I'm suspicious about their "conservative" agenda. The Founding States never intended for the feds to lead the country concerning most aspects of peacetime life. The individual states were expected to lead themselves for the most part.
I hope so. With all the scandals, the IRS abuse, and now the FCC coming abuse, these leaders of the Republican party should be screaming corruption from the top of the hill. They should be leading the investigations, instead of letting 0bummer and the dem party off the hook.
Getting along to get along fails their sworn duty to uphold the Constitution. If they won’t, they, and I’m referring to the leadership of the Repub party, needs to be replaced, NOW. I’ve never been so angry at our government for so many abuses against its citizens. The media too for allowing all these abuses to happen because their agenda is much more important than our freedoms.
