Next Tech. Rfid jammers and scanners linked to gps locator. gun rfid linked to specific frequency. Cops will have them. They will sit in dark rooms tracking every gun with a kill switch for every gun linked to every owner’s DOT registration and Facebook page. After mandating every weapon possesses the rfid tech.
This is GREAT! Now all we need is another law to prevent criminals from buying ammunition and we will stop all gun crime!!!! /s
The manufacturer won’t sell many of these, but is hoping gov’t will force people to buy them. Trust me, the CA pols will force this just as they have with microstamping.
GOP Governor Candidate Speaks Out Against Assault Rifles and Full Capacity Magazines

Ive always said dont just vote party lines if you want to protect your gun rights. There are some moderate Democrats, especially in state legislatures, who have been great friends to the Second Amendment. Likewise, there are Republicans who just about as anti-gun as you can be.
Case in point, California Governor Candidate Neel Kashkari made some disturbing comments about the Second Amendment.
According to SacBee,
If youre a single issue voter, and you just want someone to give you a full capacity assault rifle magazine, God bless you, you can go vote for somebody else, Kashkari told a group of college Republicans at California State University, Sacramento. Im not your guy.
I do know philosophically that I deeply believe in protecting my own gun rights, and that means protecting your gun rights, Kashkari said. But I also believe that, you know, we need to be reasonable about things.
Kashkari spoke broadly against layering more gun rules on me, on responsible gun owners, saying additional restrictions will not prevent gun violence or make people safer. But the former U.S. Treasury Department official said he does not oppose waiting periods or background checks, which he said didnt inconvenience me in the slightest when he has purchased guns.
Keep in mind, this is supposed to be the conservative choice for California governor!
Kashkari has been taking a serious beating on his Twitter account, and to his credit he seems to be responding personally to most of the concerns. Although, I dont think hes really helping himself.
@2BPatriotic I was responding to a student question. He wanted me to say I would roll back all gun laws. #nope

@Shadowsbesideme yes, I am a gun owner myself and will defend all our rights

Im really concerned about the future of California, which I fear before was already too far gone. Now that the so called conservative ballot options in that state are also becoming anti-gun I simply dont know how California residents take back their state.
Despite what Kashkari says, in my opinion, and Im pretty sure the opinion of most gun owners, supporting waiting periods, banning certain types of weapons, and magazine limits mean that you DO NOT support the Second Amendment. Period. Its that simple.

Waiting for the first trial where the murderer claims that his “smart” wristwatch was hacked by some “smart” ass and the “smart” wristwatch told his “smart” pistol to shoot another “smart”ass who was driving by in his “smart” car while talking on his “smart” phone. This is gonna be great.
Battery’s sold separately.
$1800 is double the price of a 40 cal Glock?
This article makes my head hurt.
RFID enabled...
Probably means someone could figure out a way to keep that from working fairly easily.
Reports of this thing being hacked will be coming out in 3, 2, 1...
I'll bet you could pay extra and get a solar recharging option to keep the batteries alive to save the environment from those evil power plants. Or, wait, a wind turbine generator package for an extra $10,000.
Ideas so progressive, so advanced, and so brilliant that only a liberal would embrace them!
This is great news. Make it mandatory that all liberals buy this pistol. [The rest of us peasants will just make due with “Stone Age” models. (M1911: The original point and click interface.)] — sarcasm off
Consumers don’t want this but anti-gunners and government tyrants do.
I don’t want any electronics in my shootin’ irons. Electronics fail. A well-built firearm doesn’t.
$1800 for a. 22?
Unreal. BUT. Just think how much the company will make. With stupid states mandating the technology they are the only game in town.
$1800...
If it needs a digital handshake to work, then it can be digitally disabled - by the government, by cops, by predators.
No, thanks. I’ll stick with my dumb gun.
$1,800 for a .22 cal pistol?? I have a feeling not many buyers have that much money to throw away at something that is likely to FAIL when needed.
Sorry I came to this so late. Will be way down the list of posts, beyond the interest of most.
I’m a watchmaker and am laughing my head off. 1st of all, virtually everyone wears their watch on the OPPOSITE hand (Right handed person has watch on LEFT). This is a very old fact, in order to keep the sometime fragile watch away from the normal activities of the dominant hand.
The question: What is the range of the electronic signal from watch to gun?
As a watchmaker, I see the appalling rate of failure of the circuitry in virtually ALL brands of watches. Additionally I know more than most the failure rate of watch batteries in that they are absolutely fine at 10AM, but the watch is dead at 2PM as the battery’s voltage lowers to the “dead point”.
Most people remove their watch as they go to bed. If you are awakened by the breaking window at 3AM, unless the time is taken to strap on the watch, you are unarmed.
This is NOT a good idea. Oh, I just realized, when that battery is changed by the “lowest on the totem pole” clerk at the mall, look out. The simplest task in the world is “To change the battery”, yet I am generally inundated with watches killed during just that process. Again, you are now unarmed, until you get the watch back from the so-called “service center”.
Useless after and EMP.
The watch is sold separately? So who would buy the gun without the watch?
Wait a minute Mr. Burglar, I need to go put on my watch. Oops, the batteries are low, I mean I need to wind it, now hold on, let me go get the gun out of the safe, wait what?
Your first mistake would be to actually consider purchasing a firearm with any sort of electronic protection. If you need an electronic device to enable it, the government will have the ability to disable it, instantly.
Your second mistake would be to purchase a firearm from a dealer or a store. If you have to fill out a form, you automatically become a target of government agents. If you leave any sort of paper or electronic trail, that information WILL be retained, and ultimately used to hunt you down. The same applies to ammunition, accessories, gunsmithing tools, and bulk reloading equipment and supplies. Pay cash, anonymously.
Your third and final mistake would be to let anyone know what you have, and what it would be used for, if it came down to that. Always keep a potential enemy guessing about your capabilities.
Hopefully, the bad guys will take a time-out while the owner looks for his ‘wrist-watch’ after locating his pistol.
No thanks. Either the government will have a way to shut it off, or the bad guys will come up with a way to shut it off. If it were a choice between this and a musket, I’ll take the musket.
