Any entity that depends on collections from others, donated or otherwise, will never have enough money. This includes charities, churches and anything else that doesn’t produce a product for the market. Just like everyone else they always want more money but the only way they can get it is begging or, as in the case of government and other thieves, at the point of a gun.
EXACTLY....and I’m a former community college board member...who votes against ALL school levies these days...they HAVE enough...it’s HOW they are spending it that is the problem.
Simple. Eliminate all tax-based schools and make them private businesses that will require tuition and donations.

Ogden, 1824.So probably a bunch of state revenues that could be used for public schools is wrongly leaving the states in the form of constitutionally indefensible federal taxes. Patriots need to work with their state lawmakers to stop Congress from laying taxes for public schools...and lots of other things.
Just anecdotal evidence, that public schools seemed to produce better results in 1950 or 1960 than today. Public schools spent a lot less per student in those days, adjusted for inflation. Yet they arguably got better results. Are we allowed to talk about that, or is it not politically correct to talk about??????
Abolish Public Schools
The historical record compiled by the Department of Education itself shows that increased government spending on education does not improve the academic performance of government schools.
“From 1989-90 to 2006-07, total expenditures per student in public elementary and secondary schools rose from $8,748 to $11,839 (a 35 percent increase in 2008-09 constant dollars), with most of the increase occurring after 1997-98,” says the Education Department’s The Condition of Education 2010.
In 1980, 17-year-old students in public schools earned an average score of 284 out of 500 on the National Assessment of Educational Progress reading test. In 2008, they still scored 284. Despite increased per pupil spending, the needle did not move.
In 1999, 17-year-old students in American public schools earned an average score of 307 out of 500 on the National Assessment of Educational Progress math test. In 2008, they scored 305. The needle moved in the wrong direction.
Every community in America should give all parents a voucher equal to what it now pays per-pupil for its public schools, allowing those parents to use those vouchers at any school they choose. Let the market decide if government-run schools survive.

I saw the union bots complaining about how it wasn’t enough and talking about 35 kids in a classroom.
Let’s see, 35 kids in a classroom at $17,000 per kid. That makes $595,00 per year that classroom is sucking in.
Lets just say the teacher is making $70,000 per year. That means the school system has $525,000 in “overhead” for just that classroom.
And it’s not enough?
Yeah, right.
As an “old guy” I’m beyond disgusted with the schools of our day.
I attended a typical school in central Massachusetts in the city of Worcester. There were 6 classrooms and there were 6 teachers and the principal. The janitor kept things from falling apart.
Half the kids were born to immigrant parents, living often in homes where English was NOT the prime language.
Those students, in schools thought of as “quaint” today learned and mastered English, American history, world geography, math including the “dreaded” long division.
We learned to spell, punctuate, grammar, writing compositions logically and where our State was on the map of the USA.
Today I find High School grads who are functionally illiterate. What a bargain the country gets with the bloated staffs in what are laughingly called “schools”
Liberals always cry out for more. Many States give then 20+% of all monies spent and that still is not enough.
Schools are no longer schools. They are bureaucracies that just happen to have children involved. They are fighting to exist not to educate.
Homeschooling joke:

So once a week we take our kids into the bathroom, cuss at them, push them around, steal their lunch money, and offer them drugs, and that seems to take care of it.”

If the school’s want more money, they can fire an administrator. They have too many and they’re all overpaid.

“Educators” for the most part are liberal idealogues who transmit liberal thinking into gullible children. The best thing you can do for your child is home school. Much public education has devolved into child brain-abuse...and public money theft. I have met many, many “educators” who are well-intended...typical brain-addled liberals. They “work” about 1/2 time and retire very young.
You have a problem with giving to churches and charities? If so, you have a problem with the Lord.
