First-term Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel could face a challenge from the mentor of his old boss, President Barack Obama.
Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle may have her sights on the job, the Chicago Sun-Times reports, though she insists she is running only for re-election this year. [ ]
Emanuel has alienated the black community, the Sun-Timess Carol Marin notes, by closing neighborhood schools while opening charter schools. He also has angered police and firefighters in contract talks.

What a treat for Chicagoans. Replacing a Prick for a Preck(winkle).
Puke. That’s even worse than Kirk vs. Giannoulias or the disgusting (and ever increasing) possibility that Rahm’s millionaire buddy Bruce Rauner will be the “Republican” nominee against Quinn.
So, who do you think the Combine is more likely to back ?
In a word, Rahm. I think the bastard has the job security of Kim Jong-un, despite being an utter failure. Even I would vote for him if it was him versus that disgusting she-monster (in a runoff). But it won’t be, no one of consequence will dare oppose our new King. If and when it’s decided that Rahm needs to go he’ll find a dead fish in his bed and step aside. I think our local media is bored with reality so they’ll talk up potential challengers.
I recently read about half of a puff piece about Rahm

They proclaim him “America’s Mayor”, taking the post from the dear departed Bloomberg. And they quote some jerk who wrote a book called “If Mayors Ruled the World.”. I shudder to think of what would happen if Mayors ruled the world.
She is also a prick and essentially the same or worse as the ballerina in my opinion.
My guess is that she is even more of a communist than Rahm. Either way, Chicagoians will get the government they deserve.
But it is fun to watch them eat their dead.
obviously, she has done an outstanding job in Chicago during her many years as a public servant there...(extreme sarcasm)
