I see no downside to this this because we all know the world is now safer than ever, with a nuclear North Korea, Iran and a new aggressive super power in China. Everyone knows that when the German bomb Pearl Harbor next time, our enemies will give us a six months to a year to rebuild and rearm as well. Since with these high tech toys we now need will only take that long to establish.
