This is the shocking moment a pedestrian was killed by a single punch after he got into a row about cycling on the pavement. Andrew Young, 40, became involved in an argument with cyclist Victor Ibitoye after he told him that cycling on the pavement was dangerous. The cyclist rode off but moments later his friend, Lewis Gill, approached Mr Young, who suffered from Asperger’s Syndrome, and punched him in the face without provocation.

So, let me get this straight: Arrogant bike riding dude illegally riding on a sidewalk, possibly endangering pedestrians, gets a reprimand from a much smaller guy and its an invitation to a possibly fatal punch in the face, right?

I the real world, on the street, of course! "Much smaller guy" - what a sob story. What part of ON THE STREET don't you get? I'm not writing a morality play here. I'm talking about what happens when someone ont he street blocks another person and verbally attacks them. Why is this so difficult to understand?

And 99.9999% of the time we're talking about a black eye, and not death.

Striking anybody in the head is an assault which can lead to death either by direct concussion or hitting the ground.

Anybody striking somebody like this is guilty of assault trying to commit grievous bodily harm or death and should be treated as such. A "black eye" is a schoolyard scuffle. This is not what this was. This was deliberate manslaughter.

LOL, what wold you call a street fight, then? People attempting to murder each other because they are throwing punches?

Fighting is fighting. I’m well aware of the possible results.

Fighting is fighting.

Oh, give me a break. This wasn't a "fight" where two guys puff themselves up over something and then manfully decide to duke it out.

This was a criminal assault by an unknown assailant on a perfect stranger who he felt "insulted" his friend and whom he decided to "teach a lesson" - and then whom he ambushed with a punch to the head.

The consequences were somewhat predictable for this excessive use of deadly force. And it was deadly.

"Puff themselves up" and "manfully decide"?

LOL, you've never been in a fight, have you? And besides that, your obvious contempt for manliness is dripping down your chin.

It was a street fight.

Street fights are deadly.

Bar fights are deadly.

Grow up.

Guess you know better than pretty much every neurologist and specialist in autistic spectrum disorders then? Yes, people with Aspergers can be very intelligent in some ways, but incredibly “dumb” in others. The thing about the human brain is that intelligence is not a singular thing, it can be divided into sections, and people will often excel in some ways and struggle in others. People with Aspergers do genuinely struggle to understand how to respond to social situations, and those who do end up getting beaten by thugs and bullies will often fail to understand why they alienate people, and cope by simply withdrawing from a lot of human interaction instead.
I’m guessing from your attitude that you think that beating somebody up, even if they are a lot weaker than you is a perfectly acceptable response to somebody saying something to you that you don’t like?

So, you are telling me that a child with Asperger’s is sophisticated enough to develop the intent to “be an asshole” and “game the system”. Sophisticated enough to form the intent to “psychologically and emotionally hurt people” - even their parents and grand parents.

Even the one’s who do “get the snot kicked out of them” - perhaps even killed by a single punch to the head.

Interesting analysis.

On “BBC News 24” on the night of the sentencing a guest Barrister stated that the sentence was so lenient due to provocation. It is clear from the video that the victim made no move to physically threaten them so I suppose the killer and his two friends must have told the Police he racially abused them.

Given that there was no CCTV audio and the people standing around were oblivious, there must be no evidence to contradict their story. A bleeding-heart PC judge (as this one obviously was) would doubtless have felt obliged to give the killer a much reduced sentence for manslaughter after hearing a robustly fabricated racial abuse claim from the defendant and his associates.

Regrettably, street thugs always know how best to play the system. It is a shame the Judiciary are so clueless.

Correction:

It’s a shame the Judiciary are so complicit.

Unfortunately, it gets even worse:

Killing a man? 'It's no big deal': A sneer from mother of thug who punched Asperger's sufferer

The despicable attitude of the killer's mother is just further evidence of how the absence of any sense of personal responsibility has now reached epidemic proportions in the precariat (precarious proletariat).

In my opinion, a ghastly combination of crass consumerism and socialist hand-out culture has morally degraded them. They are now trained from birth to be profoundly selfish, materialistic, hateful, brutal and to have absolutely no ambition to earn a better future through honest work and self-reliance.

Part of it. Another part is a species of racism that needs no manifest statement it is such. Its delivered in the attitude. He and his family, like the family in the White House, are black racists - pure and simple.

And another example of what too generous an immigration policy begets.
