Roy Simmons, the fun-loving Giants offensive lineman who later became the second former player in NFL history to come out as gay, died in his New York home last week at 57.
Simmons, the only player in NFL history to acknowledge that he was HIV positive, was known as "Sugar Bear" because of his big smile and sweet personality. But the former Giants offensive lineman was also tortured by his sexuality and struggled for years with substance abuse. When his NFL career ended, he was a homeless prostitute in San Francisco for a time, earning $15 a trick.
Simmons told the Daily News in 2006 that he had battled demons ever since a neighbor in his hometown of Savannah, Ga., raped him when he was 11 years old.
The Giants drafted Simmons in 1979, but he told the News in 2006 that he was a regular at wild sex and dope parties thrown by what he called the team's drug clique, and his play rapidly declined.
Coach Bill Parcells cut him in 1983; he spent a season with Washington before he retired from the league. Simmons said he went out of his way during his NFL career to hide his homosexuality. He juggled affairs with women and had a daughter with one girlfriend, but he was also a regular at the city's gay bathhouses and frequented male hookers as well.
Simmons became more open with his sexuality after he left football; he became a drag queen - with size 16 shoes - and loved to strut up and down the streets of San Francisco.

Gay “love” is just the same as any other love - except that it often leads to premature death, it’s unnatural, it’s perverted, and it’s a violation of God’s Word. But other than that, it’s the “same love”.
That's rather insensitive...my uncle just got bit & died. However, we're pretty sure he is in heaven because he yelled, "Holy *&$^@#" just before he collapsed.
It’s only going to get worse. Once AZ backs down from the law protecting Christian businesses, homosexuals and the media are going to go out of their way to shove this in our faces and target Christians.
I bet you will see a lot of homosexual kiss-cam shots at stadiums this summer. They will be out in public making out, and doing everything they can to provoke people. God help us.

Any honest counselor, psychologist or psychiatrist will agree. They were molested by an older male and / or introduced to the behavior by peers.

The sad/sickening part is that our Media, Hollywood, and Politicians all pretend that this predatory pattern does not exist, and they pretend that this is not a mental illness (or more correctly, sin).
As a result, those trapped in this illness/sin don't seek help, and their predatory actions receive praise...We have become a sick nation.
A very sad and tragic story. And damn those that encourage this behaviour. That would be virtually 100% of our Networks/Newspapers, most of our politicians - particularly the DNC, and Hollywood.

What was her mother’s reaction to the statutory rape of her daughter prepubescent daughter?: “This will be a good life experience for you.” Chastity writes:
“My mom wasn’t always around, since she was working, so Joan [Cher’s lesbian friend] sort of filled in that gap … I just focused on the fact that I wasn’t getting enough attention, and I often felt lonely or abandoned. When I spent time with Joan, I felt like the center of attention…” (pp. 10–11).
Girl Scouts Allow 7-Year-Old Boy to Join Because He is ‘Living Life as a Girl’
(CNSNews.com) - The Girl Scouts of Colorado are allowing a 7-year-old boy to join a local troop because he is “living life as a girl.”
“We make the distinction that if a child is living life as a girl and the family brings the child to us and says my daughter wants to be a Girl Scout, we welcome her,” Rachelle Trujillo, vice president of communications with Girl Scouts of Colorado told CNSNews.com.
On Tuesday, 9news.com, a Denver-based television station, initially reported the story of the 7-year-old boy, Bobby Montoya. His mother, Felisha Archuleta, said a local troop leader told her Bobby could not join the troop because he was a boy.
