SAN ANTONIO — A federal judge in San Antonio has declared Texas' ban on gay marriage unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia, however, also issued a stay, meaning the ban stays in effect for the time being.

One lesbian couple had to go to Massachusetts to get married, and they want Texas to recognize the union.

A second gay couple have a courtship of 17 years and want to get married here in their home state.

"Why does Texas have to listen to a Federal Judge?"

Who says we listen? The Federal judge put a stay on his own ruling, because he is afraid we won't.

I live in Texas. And I predict that Texas will ignore any queer marriage rulings...

Ditto here. The problem is these liberal local judges and court clerks WILL defy the Governor or AG and issue these licenses.

Another day, another victory for the marxists. Next up....the destruction of age of consent laws.

One gets the distinct impression that these people have set this up long ago and just waited for “their day”...

Like Soviet sleeper cells... called to activation..

Just sayin’.....

Nah.... couldn’t be - they’re just good, “loyal opposition” democrats after all...

Texas should secede if it intends to remain American.

“The problem is these liberal local judges and court clerks WILL defy the Governor or AG and issue these licenses.”

Even so, that would only occur in the few Democratic cities in Texas.

Maybe Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio, but that would be about it.

Dissolve the state legislatures and governors offices and let the Federal Judiciary and Executive rule. That seems to the be the fantasy of the Progs.

Oh, probably about the time that Congress pushes a secret amnesty through.

Speaker Boehner sets the tone.. I think the tone sounds like crickets. No doubt Barry's NSA has some seriously damning photos or audio that keeps Boehner in lock-step with their jack booted march to Fascist tyranny.

Boehner is a USELESS POS.

Exactly— tell the courts to stuff the feather boa up their arses and if they threaten Texas, arrest them for threatening public officials and abuse of authority.

Maybe it’s time to get serious about secession, amigos. And that goes for the rest of you red states.

a) Order banks, businesses and individuals to send Fed taxes to Austin;
b) Use the funds to convert the National Guard into the Texas Militia
c) Tell King Barack I to go eff himself

"A federal judge in San Antonio..."

That can be remedied by escorting her to a border and telling her not to set foot in Texas again or face arrest.
