When a hypertotalitarian banana republic takes another turn for the gigasurreal, even Elon Musk is speechless.

In the most glaring example of how farcical idiocy has become the new normal, we will remind readers (especially those who do not follow us on twitter), of the following blurb from last night:

Jorge is being one-upped by KingHussein? You didn’t build that, Barry.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

See something, say something BUMP!

Why is he asking the court? I thought he had a phone and a pen to make all his wishes come true.

The existance and size of the database are not the problem.

It's who has access to it, and for what purpose.

They can make it as big as they want, as long as the consequences for it's misuse are draconian, including NO executive privilege.

What's not already in it?

What's all this NSA data collection about?
It's about using the collected metadata to build social networks.

The NSA has been creating maps of American citizens' social networks

Why do they want to do that?
What could social networks be used for in the hands of government? Consider:

Using Metadata to Find Paul Revere

How will such capabilities be used now?

How They Hunt

Is it already too late?...

The Obama administration has asked a special court for approval to hold onto National Security Agency phone records for a longer period–an unintended consequence of lawsuits seeking to stop the phone-surveillance program.

The Wall Street Journal reported last week that the Justice Department was considering such a move, which would end up expanding the controversial phone records database by not deleting older call records.

Is there the slightest bit of evidence anywhere that this database has helped catch even one legit terrorist threat / murderer / secret agent / bank robber / litterbug anywhere?

Compulsive Communist Soietoro-Obama uses his pen and phone to Oppress and punish us, while the Do Nothing RINOs just whine and moan on TV.

If you don’t like your US Senate or House Members, then insist that they resign, PERIOD.

Well, the stated reason, that they need to keep the records longer because they are evidence in lawsuits filed by the ACLU over the program, is pretty ironic.

“They can make it as big as they want, as long as the consequences for it’s misuse are draconian, including NO executive privilege.”

You’ve got more faith than me, I’m afraid. I don’t think there are any consequences that they won’t find a way to sidestep around.

"I don’t think there are any consequences that they won’t find a way to sidestep around."

A real concern to be sure.

The NSA capability is truly a weapons system, no different than a submarine loaded with W88 armed cruise missles.

Maybe be there would have to be trials, followed by public executions - particularly for political appointees.
