Tension in the Crimea grew tonight as the Russian government finally confirmed it had sent soldiers into the troubled region.

Ukraine’s interim leadership denounced the “armed intervention” on its southern territory – a key strategic area where Russia’s Black Sea naval fleet is still based.

...

Reports claimed 2,000 Russian soldiers had landed in the region, while armed militia carrying Russian flags earlier seized the international airport near the Crimean capital Simferopol and a military base close to Sevastopol.

Unconfirmed reports emerged suggesting that a convoy of armoured vehicles was moving towards Simferopol.

Roads to the airport were also blocked by unidentified troops.

Ukraine’s acting president Oleksandr Turchynov accused Russia of trying to provoke Kiev into “armed conflict”.

Moscow admits it is an invasion of the Crimea, any resistance by Ukraine will be used as an excuse for retaking all of the country. Here is video of Russian helicopters going into Crimea.

‘Ukraine’s interim leadership denounced the “armed intervention” on its southern territory’

They have essentially ceded the territory with this statement. Calling it an ‘intervention’ is the clue

Ah, but CNN said it wasn’t an invasion. It was an uncontested arrival.

Is it time already for another war that has nothing whatsoever to do with defending America.

George Washington was so correct when he said to stay away from “entangling alliances”. They are used by those that use manipulation and deception to involve us in stuff that is none of our business. It makes Americans poorer and indebted, and the profiteers rich.

Our government fails to defend America as the banksters and elites and commie libs manipulate their media to support our invasion. Our country is filled with traitors that keep us divided and poorer.

Soviet, no. Russian, yes.
Russia was usually an aggressive player in the great power game, and Putin is a Tsar that likes his chances.

They will annex the Crimea.
The spot to watch is Perekop. Thats the narrow penninsula thats the gateway to the Crimea. If the Russians have it, the Ukraine will never get it back.

George Washington warned us about entangling alliances shortly after he signed a treaty with France.

I can just hear Putin saying that “this is how real communism works”, rather than the classroom studies of the petulant man-boy.

“Is it time already for another war that has nothing whatsoever to do with defending America.”

A resurgent Soviet Union is not something to be ignored. Do we really have to wait for him to take Poland? Isolationism is BS, we would all be typing this in German/Japanese if previous generations took no interest in outside world.

Putin can and will retake the entirety of the territory held by the USSR as long as his comrade Hussein Baraka subverts the office of POTUS.

Putin literally has Carte Blanche.

Germans beware.
