Putin gets permission to use Russian military in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin received permission Saturday from parliament to mobilize the country's military in Ukraine.

Putin says the move is needed to protect ethnic Russians and the personnel of a Russian military base in Ukraine's strategic region of Crimea. The request comes a day after President Obama warned Moscow that "there will be costs" if it intervenes militarily in Ukraine.

Putin move appears to formalize what Ukrainian officials described as an ongoing deployment of Russian troops in the strategic region of Crimea. His motion loosely refers to the "territory of Ukraine" rather than specifically to Crimea, raising the possibility that Moscow could use military force in other Russian-speaking provinces in eastern and southern Ukraine where many oppose the new authorities in Kiev.

He said the move is needed to protect ethnic Russians and the personnel of a Russian military base in Ukraine's strategic region of Crimea. Putin sent the request to the Russian legislature's upper house, which has to approve the motion, according to the constitution. The rubber-stamp parliament is certain to approve it in a vote expected Saturday.

Thanks for the reply. It was a rhetorical question with a touch of irony.

Were Putin and Palin the only ones who saw this coming?

In between being either angry or frustrated, I can't help but admire the way things are being set up.

Looking at our situation through the Cloward-Piven filter, I have to wonder just how close are we to tumbling over.

If I was into world domination, the America we used to be, along with the NATO countries and our other allies are what stand in the way.

One by one they've been taken out, and here we few are, standing on the edge, teetering in the wind and posing for a selfie.

I hope it captures the look of surprise.
Priceless...but the usual suspects will still get the bill.

Keep your chin up. We have been here before. It is up to us, the electorate, to correct this direction, and God willing, we will in November.

Few people know of the role chess plays in Russia strategic thinking; there were various programmes to train the military and intelligence elites in the art of “chess-think.”

Putin is obviously a chess player, he has always goy several coups up his sleeve.
The US, EU and NATO played one coup of bingo in Ukraine - the government putsch, which fizzled out and now they don’t know what to next, execpt “warnings”, “protest”, “treathen” etc, which hold no water.

Meanwhile Putin is pushing his pawns forward, methodically, without much fuss. The time Obama&Comp woke up to cry ‘uncle”, Putin has already got Crimea in his pocket, without firing a shot.

Kerry is warning Putin that “he’ll lose his place at G8 summit”. I bet Volodya doesn’t give a damn about that unformal gimmick which costs a max to the country host and is totally useless.

I wouldn’t pay $100 millon to see the girly boy Obama and his horse-faced secretary of state department . LOL...

“the boy issued a warning his faggot ass can’t backup now looks even more impotent than ever”

There is the chess saying: “Never make careless pawn moves. They cannot move back.”
This is especially true when he plays chess with Vladimir Putin, who comes from the motherland of chess masters.

I don’t remember who said once, “Putin is playing chess and Obama is playing checkers” ... :)

LOL

Look what I’ve just found doing a search on Google:

51 minutes ago:
Washington Times: Rep. Rogers: Putin’s playing chess while Obama, U.S. playing ‘marbles’

Russian military forces have seized Crimea, an autonomous version of the Ukraine, and Mr. Rogers said Mr. Obama’s threat of stalling planning for the upcoming Sochi G8 summit is falling on deaf ears.
