I am sure they did not miss anything. I did not either by not watching.

I can easily support Channel One on that move.

Then again, the Oscars Show is never watched in our home.

Viewing the Oscars is like viewing two hours of someone tie their shoes.

My guess would be they were afraid of winners making so many political speeches about Ukraine that editing them out would be obvious to viewers.

Particularly doing it live/ 5 second delay.

So they missed Jared Leto discussing Ukraine, Venezuela, etc.?

Plus, who is up at 3 in the morning to watch that Hollyweird crap live?

Nope! They’re amping up the propaganda. Putin has as much control, or more, than Zippy does.

I’m glad Russia canceled that leftist pap.

There’s nothing to see on the Oscars you can’t see on all of Russia’s state owned news TV channels.

And no - I didn’t watch it last night.

Hell . . . so did I. No reason to watch a so-called female comedian dress like a man because she hates men and pretends she’s married to a woman.

Plus, I wouldn’t have to wait for anti-American barbs from these pampered slobs.

Too bad Puppy Bowl wasn’t on at the same time.

Yes but you had the option of not watching. I hope our country never goes down this road. Not talking Oscars but controlling our TV and even worse our internet. It is dangerous to applaud the Russians in this. Either we are free or we are not.

No doubt “The Won” will get all wee-wee’d up over this and provide some snarky remarks.

He’s such a classy fellow.

The Oscars and every other decoy-programming including any televised sport, game show and soap opera does that very thing in our current beleaguered times.

Why doesn't the general public know about the Kenyan communist packer, Benghazi, IRS, ObamaCare, Fast and Furious, election-stealing voter fraud, human trafficking in AZ, domestic-terrorist training camps, Alkida in the White House, etc etc etc...

“I hope our country never goes down this road”

Do you mean their preempting the mindless US Oscars to cover a mementous event in the Ukraine or censorship in general?
Frankly I have no problem with what they did.

On a related front, I too do not wish to have the government in control of our media. Unfortunately it would be naive to believe they do not almost have that power now. The Whitehut produces it own news for instance and the FCC recently got caught in an attempt to dictate what gets covered by the media. Looking at the state of our free press in light of the constitution is like reading Alice in Wonderland.
