Ukraine: Russia Delivers ‘Assault Storm’ Deadline

I believe the Germans used the word “Blitzkrieg” for lightning war.

So, it’s late August of 1939 and the the Ukraine is the new Poland.

Apparently...

It would be very foolish for the Russians to start shooting. The population of the Crimea supports them and time is on their side. The West is powerless to intervene despite the paranoid fantasies of Russian military commanders.

From high oil prices to fund the Russian military, to regulations to cripple our economy, to crushing military readiness, Democrats have never failed to prop up America's enemies.

Perhaps the Crimea is just a pretext for something more?

Remember that Teddy Kennedy asked for Soviet help to defeat Ronald Regan.

A source in the Ukrainian defence ministry has told the Guardian’s, Shaun Walker, in Crimea, that he has heard nothing about an ultimatum that has reportedly been posed to Ukrainian forces in the region to surrender before 3am GMT or face an assault. Shaun writes:

He is not that senior but says he’s on a base right now and neither he nor the base commanders have heard anything of the sort. He said: “It’s probably another red herring to stir up trouble.”

“It comes as Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev discussed the situation in Ukraine with US Vice President Joe Biden by telephone on Monday”

Did anyone tell Biden whom he was talking to on the phone??

Did Medvidev say to Biden, tell Barack we have discussed what he proposed through me to Vlady some time ago, and Vlady says OK, I got your message??

Did the Russian Foreign Minister mention why he was talking to Biden rather than our Secretary of State, you know, our diplomat??

Did Biden say, this is another of the S..t jobs I get.

Inquiring minds would like to know.

Guardian:

Shaun Walker corrects: I take that back, it was Ukrainian Interfax not Russian. So let’s not dismiss it fully yet. But I remain v sceptical http://interfax.com.ua/news/general/194107.html

Shaun Walker@shaunwalker7

Also, it seems to be coming from Russian interfax, quoting Ukrainian Interior Ministry. That should ring some alarm bells, folks.

The absolute stupidity of man on full display. The military buildups of the early 20th century, triggered by Archduke Ferdinand’s assassination, led to “The War To End All Wars”. It didn’t.

Not content with one folly, Germany and Japan and Italy violated the Versailles Treaty with impunity and the Western World cowered before madmen. This time we’d get it right because of all the terrible new weapons. We didn’t.

The traitors in government turned to unwinnable wars - Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan - to bleed us dry and reduce our military strength.

So now we come to defend Ukraine and Israel. And we will make the same mistakes. And there will much bloodshed.

Until the next time.

... Continued:
The ministry did not immediately confirm the report and there was no immediate comment by the Black Sea Fleet, which has a base in Crimea, where Russian forces are in control. “If they do not surrender before 5 a.m. tomorrow, a real assault will be started against units and divisions of the armed forces across Crimea,” the agency quoted the ministry source as saying.
