Let’s go to the videotape.

So says the man behind a viral video of a Bronx police arrest that sparked a firestorm of outrage last week. Daniel Reyes maintains he is not a provocateur, and insists he never taped an arrest before the Feb. 23 incident, but the 24-year-old Bronx Park East resident was evidently bitten by the bug.

Days after Reyes posted the video, he walked into the Lydig Coffee House in Pelham Parkway, approached two uniformed cops, initiated a discussion about the video and secretly videotaped it.

He posted that conversation, in which the unaware cops purportedly discussed the rough arrest, to Facebook and then, Friday, to YouTube.

“These two seemed like decent guys,” Reyes said of the duo he recorded. “But (the NYPD) shouldn’t feel like they can do whatever they want and get away with it. We should all be out there holding them responsible.”

The NYPD was aware of the video and the commanding officer of the 49th Precinct was looking into it, an NYPD spokesman said on Friday. Reyes said he was glad he used his camera as a 29-year-old man was being detained and arrested on Pelham Parkway near White Plains Rd., on Feb. 23, and he wants others to do the same.

“There’s a fear among young people in the Bronx of the NYPD,” the Monroe College student said. “It shouldn’t be this way.” Reyes and many of the 97,000 people who shared the video on Facebook say that the officers from the 49th Precinct were overly aggressive when they arrested the man after he got off a city bus.

An online petition calling for an investigation had garnered more than 2,500 signatures by Friday.

The man being arrested in the heart-wrenching scene was identified as Mashach Strachan, 29, of University Heights, a police source said. Strachan, who did not return calls seeking comment, was charged with obstruction of governmental administration, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, according to police.

“He had his ticket and he had his ID,” Reyes said of Strachan. “What they did was over the top. He got nervous because they approached him as soon as he stepped off the bus, and he had his headphones on.”

I found the arrest video here: http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/bronx/video-bronx-arrest-viral-article-1.1701889

I can’t find any video of these two NYPD officers talking to Reyes about it....

Here's the second video.

For future reference, I went to the first video and clicked on the uploader's name. The second video popped as one of his uploads.

I am always suspicious of videos that do not show the whole story.

They handle it differently in Oklahoma. Lady's husband died while the police were arresting him. Arresting him because he wouldn't produce an ID. He was outside a movie theater trying to get his daughter and wife to quit arguing (so wife says). Anyway.... the lady shot video of the event (her husband dying) and then same cops confiscated her cell phone it was taken on ... because they had to lock it up for protection since it was evidence. Okay...

OSBI etc is looking into that now.

How many cops does it take to arrest someone? 6: 3 to make the arrest and 3 to block the view of anyone recording it.

“There’s a fear among young people in the Bronx of the NYPD,”.

The problem is hardly limited to Neu Yuk Sh*ty

Sad to say, all across America, law abiding citizens are afraid of their increasingly militarized police.
