5 Reasons Putin Thinks He Can Outplay Obama
Breitbart ^ | 3 Mar 2014 | BEN SHAPIRO

As Russian President Vladimir Putin deploys his military forces to Ukraine, the Obama administration continues to wonder just what the benighted dictator is thinking. Understanding that the best strategy for countering military action is undoubtedly faculty lounge-style condescension, the Obama administration has responded with its full array of resources: scorn, sneering, and bemusement.

On Monday, President Obama announced that Russia was “on the wrong side of history,” adding that the actions of the Kremlin violate international law. His Secretary of State, John Kerry, stated on Sunday, “You just don’t in the 21st century behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country.” National Security Advisor Susan Rice stated, “It’s in nobody’s interest to see violence return and the situation escalate.” When questioned by NBC’s David Gregory whether Putin might in fact see the global situation in a “Cold War context,” Rice shot back, “He may, but if he does, that’s a pretty dated perspective.” To prove just how dated that perspective was, the United States announced on Monday that it would not be sending a presidential delegation to the Paralympics in Sochi, a move that will undoubtedly give Putin the chills.

Meanwhile, the tanks roll through the Crimea.

So, why exactly does Putin think he can get away with rolling tanks into Crimea without serious American response? History.

The Reset Button. In 2008, Putin’s Russia invaded neighboring Georgia after Georgia threatened military action against one of its provinces, the disputed territory of Abkhazia. Russia quickly poured troops into Abkhazia, and the United States responded with tepid language asking Russia to “reconsider some provocative steps.” Meanwhile, Russia began placing more and more troops in South Ossetia, another disputed territory under the control of Georgia.

“Since 1992 Russia wants to reintegrate it (very strategic territory with the only Russian ports which don’t freeze in wintertime).”

This has been talked about for awhile now, but we still got caught unprepared.

Putin single handily kept American troops out of Syria while barely adding effort to it. He made obama look like a fool. Now he will make obama look like a punk. Make no mistake however, it is obama he has no fear of. “US” on the other hand; he will back down quickly once we put leadership back in the White House.

Putin is running circles around big “O”. Big “O” people think that reducing froces to special forces units is the
way to go. Putin figures to use large forces of troops and
tanks.Guess who wins! (superior force wins every time)

“...John Kerry, stated on Sunday, “You just don’t in the 21st century behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country.”

How to read a Kerry declaration in historical perspective:

“You just don’t in the 21st 20th century (1999) behave in 19th-century fashion by invading another country (Serbia) on completely trumped up pretext,” Kerry said. “It is really a stunning, wilful choice by President Putin Clinton to invade another country. Russia America is in violation of the sovereignty of Ukraine Serbia. Russia The United States is are in violation of its their international obligations.”

Putin isn’t a Mafia Don—The Mafia has principles. He’s a lot more like Czar Ivan the Terrible. He’s on a mission from god to unite all the Russian Orthodox people under his two headed eagle. As for outplaying Obama, its not even close. if we tangle with Russia we may end up losing Alaska—as long as Obama is in charge. China is on his side, Geemany needs his gas, England wants his business, and the USA needs him for bases to re-supply Afganistan—and send our guys into space. With reduced military—interal problems—Obamacare.

Two excellent posts.

Let’s see now-—— Russia has landed troops in Lebanon; Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia; Dominican Republic; Bay of Pigs; Lebanon again; Somalia; Grenada; Panama; Iraq; Iraq and Afghanistan; Pakistan; even Koh Tang Island.

Oh wait a minute-————

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Some of these were well justified but around the world we must look like thugs to a lot of normal people. (I don’t give a damn what the left- wingers think).

So many American guys killed and crippled. Such a vast amount of national wealth expended. We have worthless slime like McCain and his News Cartel pals trying to get us into more wars whilst we are still defending a bunch of ungrateful wealthy nations like the Japanese, Koreans, Europeans and Taiwanese.

It is disgusting.
