Nationally syndicated conservative radio host Laura Ingraham said on Monday morning Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) should run for president. Ingrahams comments came after she played segments of Sessions keynote address, given at the Tea Party Patriots' five-year anniversary event last Thursday evening.
Jeff Sessions, we need Sessions for President, Ingraham said. Elaborating, she continued:
Really, is there anyone out there who is better than Jeff Sessions on any of these issues? Hes great. I think someone like Sessions could probably attract Democrats, Hispanics who are here legally who are tired of these stupid trade agreements and who have had their own wages undercut by illegal immigration, African Americans, certainly I think a lot of Tea Party people. Sessions is one of the few people to actually say it like it is. Last week during that keynote speech, Sessions called on the Republican Party to start offering policies that help ordinary Americans and to ditch special interests like Wall Street and Silicon Valley figures attempting to influence the partys policies.
I believe the Republican Party needs to sever itself from this elite consensus, Sessions said during that speech. We need to break it off. Wall Street, we love ya. Davos, hope you have a good time over there. But were going to be representing everyday Americans by the millions.

Disqualifed himself forever from consideration.

FWIW, Senator Sessions rated second in Heritage Action ratings from the entire AL congressional delegation.
Ingraham has been consistently wrong with the pols she backs, time and time again. I don’t know why anyone believes she is not a RINO cleverly fleecing her “conservative” listeners.
This sounds a lot like Southern speak akin to "Well, bless your heart." It is a genteel response to someone who is abhorrent.
Sorry, but you have jumped the shark in your Sessions disqualification with the example provided. Better luck next time.
Jeff Sessions can articulate the conservative postition very well and would be fellow that would get my vote ahead of Jeb, Rubion, Thune, and a host of others being mentioned.
Scott Walker would be better, but Sessions is a solid individual.
Our Republic would be blessed, honored and fortunate were Senator Jeff Sessions POTUS.
You ought to actually check his stellar conservative record, instead of cherry picking a comment.
And, BTW, he’s a US Senate Leader against illegal alien invasion.
bump
sorry, can’t agree.
sen. sessions is solid, statesman like, true conservative.
in addition, he is humble but experienced, meek and wise, basing his positions on fact or as near as you can get in d.c. and has a perfect grasp on how to draw conservative dems (me being an ex-dem) like my family in particular. he is reagan like in his positions and demeanor.
right now, i’d support him for president. he’s on my short list.
Session is an amnesty supporter that would put the final nail in the coffin.
NO THANKS!!!!!
i think your thinking of rep pete sessions. not sen jeff sessions.
jeff sessions has been a stalwart in opposition to amnesty.
I pretty much agree with your analysis. This “I know you’re going to
do a good job” routine is a tool used by all politicians even when
they are sure the putz in question will likely be a failure. This
faux gesture of support gives the politician some cred when it
is time to turn the guy out to pasture. The best witness for the
prosecution is a friend of the defendent.
Sessions has always been a strong Constitutional Conservative. That said, he’d be a great Minority Leader, now and Majority Leader in the near future!
Sessions/Walker 2016.
Maybe. Has possibilities.
Jeff Sessions besides being a true southern gentleman is a great conservative. He is one of the good guys.
Of all the people in the US Senate to start bashing why would you pick Jeff Sessions? If he wants to run for President which I doubt I would be glad to see him do it.
It is also a call out for, "I'm keeping my eyes wide open and watching you."
I would be honored to have Jeff Sessions as my President. Pete sessions, not so much!
You are thinkin’ that ass Pete Sessions. Jeff Sessions is against amnesty. Please get that right, would ya?
Bump!
What is Sessions' opinion now? Aside from that Sessions is probably the most intelligent Senator. Probably not presidential timber.
I would vote for Sen. Sessions should he run, unless Sarah Palin was also running. Come to think of it, he would make an excellent VP for her.....
